The Kingswood Ratepayers Association presents the 2010 Annual Kingswood Community BBQ for Sunday, September 26th from 2-5pm at the Kingswood Elementary School, 34 Vrege Court.

Join us for food and fun! There'll be bouncy castles, games for all ages, bbq food and great conversation getting to know the neighbours.

Kingswood is a quaint neighbourhood located in Hammods Plains, Nova Scotia and is well sought after. Huge treed lots with a community atmosphere makes this place a wonderful place for families to live.

Kingswood Elementary School is located inside the neighbourhood and just coming into its 5th year. This new school and its French Immersion program makes this school a perfect choice for your children.

One of many in the neighbourhood, playgrounds are well maintained and boast an area for running, swings, play structure and seating for parents to relax under trees.

Conveniently located at one of the three entrances, is a small strip mall hosting Tim Horton's, Greco Pizza, Value Foods, Chiropractic and a hair salon.

Kingswood Ratepayers Association Annual General Meeting will be held 7:00pm, May 4th at the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church at 1215 Hammonds Plains Road.

You can give the form to your neighbour who you know will be attending or to any of the board members listed on the site. I am requesting input for developing the new strategic plan for the Kingswood neighbourhood in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia.

As a communications committee member of the Kingswood Ratepayers Association, we will be putting a survey together to be sent to everyone in the Kingswood and Kingswood North neighbourhoods for approval. The survey will consist of ideas submitted for consideration to develop using funds collected from previous years and in coming years. Some of the most popular ideas forwarded to date are:

• an ice rink surface,
• expanded soccer field,
• football field,
• lighting installed on fields,
• signage for walking trails and
• renewal of children's playgrounds.
