When ever I ask some one that comes to visit Las Vegas if they would ever like to live here, they always say ....... " I love to visit but would never want to live in Las Vegas! "
One of the reasons is because they don't like all the billboards and sex related material, and that they don't want their children around it.
Another reason is because of the gambling and hot weather.
My brother is thinking of moving here because the long cold winters in Minnesota are really tearing up his body and he is just plain sick of it. The main reason I moved out of the Midwest is because I was sick of the long cold winters and I had lived in Oregon for around 5 years and I knew there are places where it's warmer.
So my brother, sister in-law and three young children are coming for a visit in April. They have already done their home work through the computer on places to live around Las Vegas.
They don't want their children to grow up for some of the same reason's I mentioned above. So their looking at living in Boulder City, Henderson or Parhump.
I moved here over 6 years ago, I don't gamble, drink or go to the gentleman's clubs. And there are quite a few places to live if you don't want to live in Las Vegas.
There is Boulder City, Searchlight, Parhump, Mesquite, Beatty, Amargosa Valley, Indian Springs, Coyote Springs and more.
Sure it gets hot in Las Vegas, but when it gets to hot just stay indoors until evening. The weather in Las Vegas is beautiful right now 70s & 80s, the wild flowers are blooming in the desert and it is wonderful.
Keep your eyes out for my post following this one on the wild desert flowers I photographed over the weekend!
