Swan Nest in Amityville NY

My husband runs in the area behind the Amityville NY High School. Today he saw a swan sitting on top of an egg in the nest. He actually saw the egg today. I got there this afternoon with my camera and took photos of her on the nest. Waited a while to see if she would get up but no luck! I'll try again tomorrow. I love nature!

lost homeThe Tale Of A Displaced Home And A GPS Challenged Agent

An agent was telling me that a home she wanted to show her buyer has the address in the listing in Amity Harbor NY. She brings up the map and the home is located a few miles north and that is considered Amityville. Amity Harbor has homes in the upper-price points and Amityville doesn't have as many. Amity Harbor is also home to the Amityville Horror house which fetched a very nice price recently just for your information.

I betcha my right arm that the homeowners have no idea as to why their home is most likely having little showings if at all.

One problem, the agent is out of the area completely. I mean by 3 counties!

So she calls the agent and asks where it's located and he says, and I quote, "I've only been to the house one time". It says under the Directions in the listing: www.mapquest.com

Seriously?

Homeowners rely on us to know what we are doing. To see this gets my fur up!

Oh, and did I happen to mention it's a short sale? No? Sorry.

Independence Day is commonly associated with Fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States. Please remember to acknowledge those also fighting overseas as we Celebrate the meaning of today.

So I took a trip to Amityville New York on Long Island yesterday evening and stumbled upon a wonderful FREE event this village has every year...Fireworks!!
