O Look! a Sign of Abundance by Laura Cerrano Feng Shui New York consultant
How many times have you seen coins or loose change on the floor? How many times have you just walked pass it and thought nothing of it? Laura Cerrano Feng Shui LI consultant would like to share another perspective with how to view the extra money that has crossed your path ;)
According to Feng Shui there are many different ways to receive signs in life. A simple one that is universal to all is "a sign of abundance". Meaning, every time you see a coin and/or have the opportunity to pick it or them up, you have now received a sign of abundance. Traditionally this sign is in the form of wealth...but remember, a sign of abundance can really be for anything :)
So remember, next time you see a coin or coins on the street, in the grocery store or even at home...give thanks and say to yourself "O Look A sign of Abundance!".
It's a sign of abundance that is coming into your life :)

Feng Shui, It's not just about Furniture Placement by Feng Shui LI New York consultant Laura Cerrano
When New York Feng Shui Expert Laura Cerrano lectures, teaches at wellness fairs, or for individual Feng Shui consultations a common questions always arises. What is Feng Shui? Majority of the answers fall into the line of interior design, moving objects and placing furniture in the correct position. All these responses are correct but, they are only focused on the material aspect of Feng Shui. You also need to understand the emotional and spiritual connections.
There have been occasions during Feng Shui consultations where Laura has worked with clients and the true reasons for why she was called in did not reveal it's self until midway through the consult. As a client you need to be 100% honest with your Feng Shui consultant and 100% honest with yourself. The most fascinating component to Feng Shui is that, the truth will always come to the surface.

White Sage to help cleanse your space of negative energy and reveal the truth
For some this is a very scary thought but, you have to realize, as they say, "The truth will set you free." Many of times clients think the environment in which they live is causing them to feel drained of energy, sad, sick, and so on. They feel, maybe if I just move this piece of furniture over here I will feel better and that will be that. Yes, shifting the position of furniture mindfully and adding elements of nature and color will help, but throughout Laura's 12 years of experience she has seen majority of the reasons come from within her clients. Meaning, they are dealing more with emotional/spiritual clutter and/or disconnects.
Here is a simple saying for those of you who seek the truth:
"I see the truth, I accept the truth, I will not Judge"
Remember, the truth is not always pretty but, it will allow you to move forward and become refocused on your true path in life.

Every year for the last 19 years, members of the Bayville Fire Company in Bayville, NY, their families and friends work diligently and with all their collective artistic effort give their Halloween fan the best attraction in Bayville and possibly Long Island. The firefighters create the scariest, goriest scenes and characters and will scare the hell out of you. Bayville Haunted Firehouse is the scariest place in Bayville, NY and has been well attended every year. It gets scarier and scarier every year but fans keep on coming back. Bayville Haunted Firehouse is a fun place for Halloween. Beware to folks under 13.

One year, there was one room called Hell where a devil is impaled upside down on a pole surrounded by a pile of skulls and if you try to avoid it you'll land in a pit of sand with snakes dangling from the ceiling. The Butcher's Shop has animal parts and blood everywhere. If you have a weak stomach, you'll feel nauseated. There are demons flying around the cemetery. Every year and this year is no exception, the show at the Bayville Haunted Firehouse in Bayville, NY gets better and better with new tricks added.

There is no age limitation and it is up to parents' discretion to let their young children go. Some parents turn back and cannot take it but kids love it. Exits are available for those who want to leave and cameras monitor the area for safety. The event is organized by the Bayville volunteer firemen and the community volunteers as a fundraiser. All monies raised go back towards the Firehouse and much needed equipment.

Bayville is a small beach town facing the Long Island Sound, west of Centre Island, east of Lattingtown and north of Mill Neck across the Bayville bridge. Bayville has grown from a summer community with transient residents to year-round residents. Residents of Bayville love their town because of its small town community atmosphere, close to the beach, beautiful sunsets , plenty of restaurants and no fast food restaurants. In the summer time, it's so pleasant to go to an Oyster Bar near the Bayville Bridge.
Along Bayville Ave, the main thoroughfare, are private roads to the north to Long Island Sound side of town, to the south to Mill Neck creek. These roads are maintained by the homeowner associations. The village zoning does not allow condominiums, co-ops or apartment buildings. There are house summer rentals and winter rentals as well.
People who came to visit here realized it is nice place to live and decided to live in Bayville year round. Bayville used to be a resort town but not anymore. Years ago, the population was so small they had no mail delivery. Residents went to the post office and picked up their mail There, you met lots of people until they got mail delivery in 1960. With the exception of housing growth, Bayville has maintained its small town community atmosphere. People are friendly, helpful and more relaxed. Those who have lived in Bayville will never want to live anywhere else because their current residence now is so close to the water. However, there is a trade off. Bayville has no public transportation and the nearest train station is 10 minutes drive to Locust Valley or even farther to Syosset where there are plenty of trains.
If you love the water, it is a short distance to the beach. There is a nice park nearby. You can also go fishing at the beach near the entrance to Centre Island, a millionaire community where Billy Joel and Rupert Murdoch live. The public beach is right across the restaurant row. Bayville has the famous Firemen's Haunted House and the Bayville Scream Park and they are great attractions during the month of Octoboer especially during the Halloween Week.
Bayville has its own library but shares the school system with Locust Valley district. It has its own fire department. Residents from Centre Island shop in Bayville. Topography of Bayville is mixed with some flat lands, beach properties and some areas have slopes so there are plenty of choices.
Last year, on May 23, 2009 the Incorporated Village of Bayville celebrated its 90th Anniversary with an entire day of activities from a 5K Run to a ceremony on the Village Green to a Field Day at West Harbor Beach to an evening picnic and concert. New York Senator Marcellino presented Bayville Mayor Victoria Siegel with a resolution passed in the New York State Senate declaring Bayville, NY "one of the finest places to live in New York State".
