Art sure comes in many forms. This particular piece was made from chainlinks in mult-colors. The ground was the the canvas which at the time seemed like a great idea.
The artist should have made sure the canvas was ready for the masterpiece by applying material to block weed and grass.
By the time I saw the masterpiece it was obvious some steps were not taken because grass had practically covered the piece of work.

Wordless Wednesday|All Alone
I saw this silo on my way back from a closing yesterday, and it got my attention because it was all alone in a field. I suspect at one time it was once surrounded by other buildings, and grains and feed was stored there.
Now it stands all alone in this field with just weeds, and invasive vines around.
Hopefully in business you are not standing alone but rather surrounding yourself with a network. I suspect for members of ActiveRain standing alone is not an option.

Oudoor space is so important. We are fortunate to have many lovely parks in the Hudson Valley. This particular park is operated by Art OMI and is located in Ghent NY. If you follow my blog you have seen other pieces of sculpture located in this park.

This is the Charles B. Benson Visitor's Center at The Fields Sculpture Park in Ghent New York. Here you can view Modern and Contemporary Sculptures. This Park consists of about 100 acres and around every corner there is a new discovery.
This Park is operated by OMI International Arts Center. Access to this facility is free and both local and international visitors make the trip here to see the exhibition.
When I visited just a few weeks ago, I saw a table being set up with glasses in one of the fields, and when I inquired was told it was preparation for a wedding. Yes, the park is becoming a wedding destination.
Maybe you are not planning to have a wedding reception here but you can certainly pack a picinic basket, wear sensible footwear, and I can assure you you will have a great time. If you are having problems walking a golf cart is available for your use.
This sculpture is Ruth Walking in Jeans and Top by Julie Opie.
I thought I would have my son accompany Ruth on that walk. :)

This is Susanna another sculpture by Phillip Grausman on display at the OMI location in Ghent NY.
I must admit I thought she was a boy, maybe because of the way the hair was pulled back as well as the profile.
What do I see? A person who is shy but is placed in a spot where people gawk, and this makes her uncomfortable.
I love the arts, however I first like to come up with my intrepretation of the piece before finding out what the artist intrepretation is.
So what do you see when you look at this sculpture of Susanna?
