New York Knicks welcomes Jeremy Lin - Taiwanese American descent basketball player from California.
Even though it is Superbowl Sunday, I could not resist to write a blog post about a New York Knicks basketball player that is Taiwanese American descent as myself.

Last night, Jeremy Lin with the rest of New York Knicks play in Madison Square Garden, he scored career-high 25 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in leading New York to a 99-92 victory over New Jersey Nets. And the New York Knicks fan were uproar cheering for this new and up and coming Asian American basketball player.
In end of 2011, Jeremy Lin joined New York Knicks from San Francisco Golden State Warriors, making him the fourth ASIAN AMERICAN and FIRST American born Taiwanese-Chinese basketball player to join NBA.
He is 22 years old, 6'3 tall with laser focus ambition had helped him succeed not only in basketball, he is also a proud Harvard University graduate.
In a recent press conference, Jeremy Lin said "It's humbling, a privilege, and a honor. I'm really proud of being Chinese, I'm really proud of my parents being from Taiwan. I just thank God for the opportunity."

Well Jeremy, we are very proud of you too. We hope you will keep on scoring for New York Knicks and silence the critics with your athletic ability. We are proud that you are out there representing Taiwanese Americans and showing the world that we are not just great at academics but we are athletic and well versed in other parts of lives as well. We are proud of your hardwork, putting Asian Americans on the world stage of Basketball and pave the road for the future Asian American players.

So you're thinking of leasing/renting office space in the Garment District, NYC...
Here's my take on the neighborhood...
Also known as the Garment Center or the Fashion District, it’s hard to find a more posh or influential area of Manhattan than the G.D. Spanning between Fifth and Ninth Avenue – from 34th to 42nd street – if there is a fashion capital of the United States, this is it.
Major fashion labels and showrooms make their home here, and given that the G.D. is less than a square mile in area, that just might make it the densest area for fashion in the entire world. Major labels from Oscar de la Renta to Calvin Klein call this area home to various showrooms and offices.

But it’s not all about showrooms, either – manufacturing , design, and wholesaling are also handled in the tight confines of the G.D.. This role in the world has been present in the G.D. since the early 20th century when it began to build its reputation.
Here you’ll find the Fashion Walk of Fame, a statue of Ralph Kramden in his bus driver’s uniform (outside the Port Authority building) and the Greenwich Savings Bank building. But many people come here for the fashion – even if they don’t originally come from New York City themselves.
