I hate to add to all the overdone remembrances of 9-11-2001, but I jut had to put this out there. This in no way is meant to diminish the tragedy, nor the lives of all those innocent people lost.
What upsets me about any of the 'manmade' human tragedies, whether it's the victims of 9-11, victims of the Holocaust, the bombing in Beirut, Oklahoma City, etc, not only the senseless loss of life. It's also the promise that all of these people had. What if the person who was going to find the cure to cancer or aids, diabetes, etc was killed. We will never realize the promise of that individual/group of individuals.
So as I mourn these lost souls, I am also a little angry also because that life was senselessly taken.

Today is 9/ 11/ 2011 and 10 years ago terrorism rocked America, and Vegas Bob and many others continue to remember this terrible event on 9/ 11/ 2001.
Here are some very interesting photographs of how I remember NYC and the "World Trade Towers" back in 1982.
Vegas Bob re-posted/ re-blogged these photos for anyone that may have missed them ...
Robert (Vegas Bob) Swetz 9-11-2011
Vegas Bob found some old photographs when he was in New York City back in 1982, and he wants to share then with you because the "World Trade Towers" are in the photos.
Back in 1982 VB was in Manhattan with the John Robert Powers Modeling Agency competing in modeling competitions with other models around the United States.
This was a very "Happy Time" for VB and yes I did go to the top of the "World Trade Towers" and Robert Swetz was fascinated by the views of New York City. I also took a ferry out to the "Statue of Liberty" and that's where this photo (above) was taken.
I am sharing this post with everyone because 9/ 11 is around the corner, and before 9/ 11 Vegas Bob remembers NYC like the photographs on this post. VB continues to pray for the children and families that were lost in 9/ 11 and for all the survivors ...
The photographs on this post where taken from old photos I found in a photo album so they are a fuzzy/ unclear, but they still send a message ...
Vegas Bob would like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend, and I hope these photos can help American's to remember how devastating terrorism can be ...
"GOD BLESS AMERICA"

Are you tired of hearing folks ask you for money when you go shopping at the cash register? It seems that every where I go that folks are asking for money. Should I start asking for a donation as well for my company? Lol. Are the companies who are taking these donations using these funds as a write off at your expense?
Some thoughts to ponder on.
What are you thoughts?

It is nothing short of a miracle that this tiny church remains.....directly across the street from the site of the World Trade Center. A tiny, historic church that was preserved. George Washington prayed here and in fact, had his very own pew. The memorials they have inside are a beautiful tribute to all the lovely souls lost on that day.

A Teddy Bear collection was started by an out of state school teacher; her idea was to get one to every child who had lost a parent. The numbers donated went far beyond, donations of more then 15,000 bears came to New York.

A Video runs in the church; here an overhead shot of one of the Memorial Days held there.

A riminder of the walls that covered our City.

In the days and weeks to come, it was then Mayor Guliani who became our leader. He could be seen everywhere doing everything he could to organize and help. He attended funerals and weddings and showed us that in fact, life does go on. Earth Angels came from all over and from great distances to do anything they could for New York...and many, many people worked endless hours putting their own health at risk to help this city and its people in a time of crisis.
Security is tight today and it should be. Many people still believe New York to be a primary target of any further attacks. But the people in this city stay....and still love it for all it has to offer.
