The Historical Society of the Nyacks is raffling a hand-crafted dollhouse with furnishings, made by the late noted artist and miniaturist Helen Norman of Sneden’s Landing. Proceeds of the raffle will benefit the work of the Historical Society, whose aim is to promote interest in local history.

The Palisades Indoor Farmers' Market- Rockland's only winter Farmers' Market will continue thru the summer.

In the summer thru November, we become the Palisades Farm Stand. EVERY Saturday, 9am-1pm. In the spring and summer, we move outside.

The Rockland County Real Estate market has shown a nice increase in land sales recently. Several parcels in the southern end of the County have sold, and in Snedens Pointe in Palisades 2 more lots are on track to go Under Contract. In general there has been an increase in inquiries, and I have noticed that builders are starting to inquire about building on spec- which only a couple of years ago was something no builder was willing to do.

Perhaps the "tides are changing" as they say as the flailing economy starts to shift ever so slowly. The spike in interest on the higher end of the real estate inventory has been a nice surprise. My inventory in the million plus category has had a huge increase in showings. Hopefully, this uptick in activity will lead to closings. The value is certainly there, if you have the cash, or if you are able to get financing.

Palisades indoor farmers market

Rockland's only winter indoor farmers' market is back! The Palisades Indoor Winter Farmers' Market opens Saturday, February 6. The market will be held every Saturday through May 15, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Palisades Community Center located at 675 Oak Tree Road in Palisades, NY. Housed in a charming schoolhouse built in 1870, shoppers will find seasonal fruits and vegetables, chicken, eggs and meat, pies, cupcakes, pickles, cheese, breads, nuts, jams, fair trade coffee and more from regional farmers and vendors.
