I recently made a trip to The Phantom Gardiner in Rhinebeck NY. I did not go alone it was a trip organized by the Old Dutch Garden Club of Red Hook.

Purpose of the trip to the Phantom Gardener

We were attending a talk given by My. Lazar the owner of the Phantom Gardener, the topic was Organic vegetable gardening. This was the perfect place for such a discussion since organic gardening is a specialty of this garden center.

There was discussion of soil preparation, the importance of composting as well as the type of manure that should be incorporated into the soil. There was discussion on how to deal with different bugs and pests as well as our 4 footed friends like the deer. We also learned about various organic products that could help us to have a great season.

At the Phantom Gardener you will find the Bookstore where you can sit and read, workshops are also held in that space. There are lots of products available, seeds, plants, pest control items, ornamental garden items, pots and much more.

The Phantom Gardener is also popular with second home buyers in Rhinebeck and the rest of the Northern Dutchess and Southern Columbia areas because of the assistance they receive in setting up organic gardens, vegetable or flower.

The very popular Rhinebeck Condominium community The Woods is conveniently located within walking distance to boutique shops and restaurants in the Village of Rhinebeck; even the hospital is just down the road.

The residents of The Woods really like their lifestyle and who could blame them. Besides being close to everything, The Woods offers many recreational activities at the clubhouse. There is also an inground pool and tennis court. The many trails are perfect for long walks or jogging. The grounds is also nicely landscape and the 7 ponds does add to the charm.

79 Rhinebeck Homes for Sale in February 2 Homes Sold

When I prepared this Rhinebeck Market report I was taken back that only 2 homes sold in the Rhinebeck School District in February 2012. I rechecked the report, because I do not recall a month when 2 Rhinebeck homes were sold. I am preparing the Red Hook Real Estate Market Report for February 2012. In the Red Hook Central School District, 4 homes sold between $230,000 and $310,000.

The Source for the 79 Rhinebeck Real Estate homes for sale in February 2012 and the 2 that sold in Rhinebeck NY is the Mid–Hudson Multiple Listing Service Inc (MHMLS). These figures for single family detached homes sold in Rhinebeck NY do not represent the total Rhinebeck NY real estate sales in Dutchess County. These figures for homes for sale that sold in Rhinebeck NY reflect the sales activity of the MHMLS, which comprises the largest sales volume sampling. .

Please Note…… Of the 79 homes for sale in the Rhinebeck Real estate market and the 2 homes that sold in Rhinebeck NY in the month of February 2012, one of the homes for sale that sold in Rhinebeck NY was on the Rhinebeck real estate market a relatively short period of time with the greatest percentage price reduction. 25% was the greatest price reduction for these Rhinebeck homes for sale that sold which came on the Rhinebeck real estate market in June 2011.

This is the first exception that I have seen in the Rhinebeck real estate market in which the Rhinebeck home was listed in the Rhinebeck real estate listings for the shorter time on the market had a great price deduction.

This familiar and important Take Home Message – Homes Sold in Rhinebeck NY on the Rhinebeck real estate market the longest homes on the market tend to have the greatest percentage price reduction. Did not happen in February 2012 in this Rhinebeck Real Estate Market. It is difficult to analyze only two homes which sold in Rhinebeck NY. The home buyer should ask the real estate broker how long the home has been on the Rhinebeck real estate market– the total time. There was NOT one of the 2 sold in February 2012 of the 79 Rhinebeck home for sale that sold for list price.

The 2 homes that sold in the Rhinebeck real estate market were homes located in the Rhinebeck Central School District.

The 79 homes for sale in the Rhinebeck NY real estate market are the total for the 3 categories- active, new and price change homes which were listed on the MLS in the month of February for the homes located in the Rhinebeck Central School district.

Overkill? I will be the first to admit I know very little about cars and trucks, I just want the one I am in to work.

To this novice eyes this looks like overkill, and I am expecting the car enthusiast to chime in. This is a photo of an auto show held at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck NY. The guys were all busy showing off their toys so that could explain the overkill.
