32nd Annual Rockville Centre 10K Run - Spnsored by Inc Village of Rockville Centre Parks and Recreation Department

We had a spectacular Fall day for our annual 10K run which meanders through our beautiful village. This is a great run to weave in and out of our side streets as all the leaves are changing colors and you can run past some wonderful homes - some streets that you may never have turned down before!

There is a 1 mile run which started at 9:00 am for the childeren and a 5K and 10K which started at 10 am.

It is a wonderful community event where the streets are blocked off and many people come out and cheer the runners on.!! People of all ages participate!

This is one of the many activities throughout the year that is organized by The Inc. Village of Rockville Centre Parks and Recreation Dept. (better known as "The Rec"). In addition to activities The Rockville Centre Parks and Recreation Dept also runs various programs throughout the year for all age groups.

Some Examples of Rockville Centre Parks and Recreation Departments Programs:

Pre-School Programs - "Almost Real School" -one day a week for 3 year olds, Computertots, Gym and Jam

Elementary Programs - Cooking for Kids, Mad Science, Cartoon Time, Computer Science

Middle-High School Programs-Co-ed Cardio Workout, Ice Skating, Cartoon Time, Yoga

Adult Programs-Step Aerobics, Cardio Workout, Guitar Lessons, Hatha Yoga
