About Staten Island's Richmondtown

HOMES FOR SALE IN RICHMONDTOWN, STATEN ISLAND, NY- WHAT IS IT LIKE TO LIVE IN RICHMONDTOWN?

Deborah Bracco NYS Licensed Realtor Staten Island New York Homes for Sale: Real Estate Agent in Staten Island, NY
Ever since I’ve been a Real Estate Agent, customers and clients always ask me “what’s it like to live in a particular section of Staten Island?” My response is always the same- “drive around the neighborhood during the day and night, weekends and weekdays, and see for yourself. However, I’ve been living in Oakwood/Richmond town for 20+yrs and I’d like to share with you my first hand opinion of what it’s like to live here. So, take notes and listen up because you can’t go wrong with someone who speaks from experience! First of all, I think it's great all around. There's plenty of nature and parks around for activity and kids, bike riding, jogging or just relaxation. I am and was pleased with all the schools my children attended from grammar school to middle school and now in high school (and I have twins). Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance or a short drive; some don't really even need a car around here. People take good care of their property and houses, public transportation (train and bus) once again are walking distance or a short drive, and the neighborhood is generally quiet, (and pretty too). Let’s not forget the historical Richmondtown Restoration and its splendor dating back to the 1800’s. Tourists regularly visit not only for the sights but all the different events which are held around the year and you live right here able to enjoy all of the excitement. We're centrally located- equidistant from the Verrazano Bridge and Brooklyn etc. as well as the Goethals and Outer Bridge for New Jersey, Pennsylvania, etc. Travelling from one place to another is not a chore because of this. In conclusion, it was a smart move on our part 20 yrs. ago, especially since we had relatives in Brooklyn and Pennsylvania and because of the central location to everything- it's a great town to live in! BEFORE SELLING YOUR HOME!

Valerie Bartolone: Real Estate Agent in Staten Island, NY

Before selling your home steps to take to prepare your home:

1)Choose a listing agent - one that will represent you and have a fiduciary responsibility to look out for your best interests. A seller's biggest mistake is an over priced house. Be sure to ask the agent for a comparative market analysis.

2)Prepare your home for Selling - Clean, declutter and improve for curb appeal. Pack away unnecessary clutter. A fresh coat a paint if needed. Make necessary repairs. Just the smallest of repairs could gain you dollars $. You can ask your Realtor with help in staging your home.

3)Market your Home - Advertising is most crucial especially one with a virtual tour. Post your home on the Internet. Your agent should be saturating the Internet with photographs and description of your home.

You've got only one chance to make a good first impression!
