Rockland County Youthfest This Sunday At Rockland Community College in Suffern NY 10901
This Sunday at Rockland Community College in Rockland County the Rockland County Youth Bureau will be holding its Annual Youthfest. Its a chance for businesses and organizations in Rockland County to introduce the youth in the county to the many resources and services available to them. It's also a fun day for the whole family with activities geared for the young.
For the first time this year the the local county government representatives will be participating. Their goal is to help educate the youth of today on the inner workings of local government.
There is no charge to attend. Admission is FREE. So gather your youth and head to Rockland Community College for a fun and informative afternoon.

World Fishing and Outdoor Expo- At RCC Rockland County, Suffern, NY March 1-4, 2012
For those of you that are Outdoor Sportsmen and enjoy fishing and hunting you might want to plan on attending this years World Fishing & Outdoor Expo which is scheduled to take place at Rockland Community College's Fieldhouse in Suffern, NY beginning this afternoon, March 1, 2012 at 1:30 and running thru Sunday March 4, at 5:00PM.
It's the only Sport show in the Metro New York area with all major fishing tackle maufacturers exhibiting. There will be seminars, a flye fishing theatre and educational and entertaining programs on all things related to fishing. You can check out all the many features here for the Suffern Fishing show.
Whether you're a serious sportsman or just looking for a good family fun outing, there will be something for everyone at this fishing expo.

BIG SCREEN CLASSICS AT THE LAFAYETTE THEATRE, Suffern NY
The Big Screen Classics film series sponsored by The Town of Ramapo, has returned to the Lafayette Theatre in Suffern NY. You've missed the September 17 (The Guns of Navarone) and the September 24 (Dodsworth) showings, but it's not to late to catch the rest of the series. There's a great lineup of classic films planned.
Lafayette Theater is a beautiful old-time movie palace that was built in the late '20s. It's unique in that it contains a fully functioning Wurlitzer organ. For those of you that plan to attend any of the Big Screen Classic shows, you're in for a treat. At each of the showings you'll have the opportunity to hear an organ music recital by Jeff Baker on "the mighty wurlitzer" if you get there a half hour early (at 11:00 AM).
