Metropolitan Opera principal clarinet and long time NY Philomusica collaborator Joseph Rabbai is given a spotlight in Saint-Sans seldom heard but monumentally successful Sonata for clarinet & piano. The Poulenc Sextet for piano & wind quintet is a classic, played expertly by pianist Christopher Oldfather. All seven winds come together for D'Indy Chansons et Danses.
