VISITING WESTHAMPTON BEACH

Robert Murray: Real Estate Agent in Westhampton Beach, NY

One of my favorite places to visit in the WESTHAMPTON area is the Tuthill House Museum, which is the main building of the WESTHAMPTON BEACH HISTORICAL SOCIETY located at 101 Mill Road in WESTHAMPTON BEACH.

The mission of the Society is to collect and preserve materials pertaining to the Greater Westhampton area, which includes Eastport, Speonk, Remsenburg, Westhampton, Westhampton Dunes, Westhampton Beach, and Quiogue and to interpret the history of the area through exhibitions, educational programs, and publications.

The Society does a great job in fulfilling its mission. The Tuthill House museum has annual summer exhibits that are always fascinating for young and old. This summer’s exhibit features a photo gallery of historic scenes “Around Westhampton.”

On the grounds on the grounds of the Society there is a carriage house featuring vintage farm and horse equipment, a privy, and the 1735 Foster/Meeker house, which was recently moved to the Mill Road location and is in the process of being restored.

Remsenburg - Westhampton - Westhampton Beach - Quogue Home Sales Trends

Robert Murray: Real Estate Agent in Westhampton Beach, NY

THREE YEAR HOME SALES ANALYSIS - REMSENBURG - WESTHAMPTON - WESTHAMPTON BEACH - WESTHAMPTON DUNES - QUOGUE - QUIOGUE 2007-2009

An analysis of home sales in the Remsenburg to Quogue, Long Island, NY market is noted below. This three year analysis indicates a steady decline in sales in almost all price ranges. The good news is that the pace of decline slowed in 2009 and the best market was the Westhampton Beach market with improved performance in all price ranges. The inventory of homes for sale continues to grow which translates into a buyer's market with excellent opportunities for value conscious buyers.
