I went in today and spoke to one of the owners Ellen Adler, who also owns the Barrie Inn next door. Ellen is
a Woodmere resident who saw a need and opened Fido Day Care last November. When I was there today there were about 10 dogs. She said that was a light day and that in the height of the holiday season last week they had well over 40 dogs between boarding and day care.
Fido Fitness Center includes an Indoor Dog Park, Doggie Day Care and Dog Training Services. In addition the Barrie Inn next door provides cageless boarding and grooming services.
Indoor Dog Park
Fido Fitness Club's indoor, off-leash dog-park gives owners and dogs an opportunity to spend quality time together. Everything about the facility is designed for the comfort and safety of dogs and their owners. Unlike outdoor parks, Fido Fitness Club's indoor dog park is clean and protected from the outside elements. The specially designed compressed foam floor is easy on the paws and comfortable for dogs and their owner to run or jump on.
To guarantee the safety and health of your dog, all dogs must pass our behavior review, and owners must provide proof of their dog's current vaccinations prior to admission to the park,
Dog Day Care Center
Fido Fitness Club's Day Care Center is designed to reduce the stress owners and dogs feel when they have to spend time apart. Dogs spend their day in an off-leash environment that serves as a safe haven for socialization and active play. Fido Fitness Club's daycare delivers peace of mind and encourages canine wellbeing. Owners can pick up their dogs knowing they have spent their day in positive play and are heading home tired, content, and happy to see you.
Dogs in daycare enjoy a balance of play and rest. If owners would like to bring snacks in for their dog, they are happy to accommodate that request. Of course, there is always plenty of fresh, clear water to drink. To ensure comfort, every dog is walked three-times a day by their dog-devoted staff.

Rally Obedience class takes basic obedience to the next level through some fun competition. Agility course increases physical abilities while engaging your dog in challenging fun sports activities. Puppy Kindergarten teaches the young ones socialization and basic skills. Show Your Dog Like a Professional is a new class taught by AKC Judge Carol Reisman, for those want to learn to handle their dog like a show dog.
