Columbus Ohio Mortgage Lenders

I am looking for Mortgage Lenders in Columbus Ohio that would like to be added to my free directory of Columbus Ohio Mortgage Lenders at www.CentralOhioMortgageLenders.com

My goal is to have a comprehensive list of Mortgage Lenders in the Columbus Ohio area, based on their service area, that home buyers can refer to in order to find a lender in their area. My goal is to have a good 5-6 in each area so that the home buyer can shop around a bit.

I have broken Columbus up into several areas, including: North Columbus, South Columbus, East Columbus, West Columbus, Downtown Columbus and Central Columbus.

Columbus - one of the 10 safest housing markets in the US

Columbus is one of the ten "safest" housing markets in the US for fall 2008 according to PMI. Count down or up from the bottom of the list… according to PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) there is less than 1% chance of lower home prices for the Columbus market in 2 years. Contrast those to the housing markets on the top of the PMI list with over a 99% chance (in the paragrah below)

The PMI List - Fall 2008

   1. Fort Worth-Arlington; TX
   2. Dallas-Plano-Irving; TX
   3. Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown; TX
   4. Pittsburgh; PA
   5. San Antonio; TX
   6. Memphis, TN-MS-AR
   7. Indianapolis-Carmel; IN
   8. Kansas City; MO-KS
   9. Austin-Round Rock; TX
10. Columbus; OH

Are they all tied? All have less than 1% percent chance of prices being lower within the next two years Also less than 1% chance of lower prices…. St. Louis, MO-IL, Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis; WI, Charlotte-Gastonia-Concord; NC-SC, Cincinnati-Middletown; OH-KY-IN, Denver-Aurora; CO. Is there a difference in the list… is Columbus a riskier >1% than cities one through nine? And a lot better than Cinci who would be #15 on a list?

Good news for Cleveland... just 1.1%…

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin.

In Badgered, the Columbus Dispatch says:

Colorful Columbus Roofs in the Polaris Area

The sky is gray... it is cooler... It felt more like fall this morning in Central Ohio...

Rain?

Are those blue and green roofs? Driving through the intersection of Lazelle and Sancus a friend pointed out the colorful patchwork of roof tarps on the Polaris Crossing apartments, just south-west of the intersection. Every building of the rental complex seemed to have a tarp...the remains of the September 14, 2008 storm that hit Central Ohio.

Bad shingles? Shoddy roofing? Are "dimensional shingles" that much heavier... the roofs on the businesses on the northwest corner really all have flat roofs with the dimensional shingles on the front for show... The roofs on Polaris Crossing are not "dimensional" roofing shingles, they are "3 tab shingles" as they say in the business... The roofs on the Carriage Oaks Condominiums just south of Polaris Crossing are "3 tab shingles" too. We saw a tarp in Carriage Oaks from Sancus Blvd. Many of the homes in Worthington Highlands have "dimensional shingles" driving around there are tarps there too. There's a house in Worthington Highlands you can see from Sancus Road that needs a tarp in the worst way...

It's not like the Easter hail storm that hit Central Ohio one year... as far as being a boon to the roofing business in Central Ohio and an opportunity for "storm chasers" from outside of Central Ohio (even from other states.) Many roofs in Central Ohio just need some repair work...some shingles after the September 2008 windstorm. The roofers signs are popping up on front lawns of homes but here's one big job for some roofing contractor.

This corner of the world is just south of the Delaware County border (Polaris is in Delaware County) in Franklin County.

Not breaking news I took the news of the first bovine blogger in Columbus (Columbus is called a "cowtown" by some folks) to ColumbusBestBlog.com first... my other blog ColumbusBestBlog.com has a category called "cowtown."

"I just discovered Opera Columbus has a blogging cow. I discovered it via Twitter. Of course a person with Opera Columbus tweeted it. Cows couldn’t Twitter could they?
