Doctors relocating to Cleveland for 3 or more years residency - please don't waste your money on wrong housing!

Greater Cleveland is the home city of Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, MetroHealth Hospital. We are proud to have one of the best health systems in America and in a whole world!

Many doctors relocate to Greater Cleveland every year. One of the biggest challenges for relocating doctors, especially for those who chose Cleveland hospitals for their residency program is to find the right housing solution.

Though most of new residents would like to buy home or condo, they end up renting the place at least for one year. I had few first year residents last summer who called me on condo within five minutes to Cleveland Clinic. I have been seeing some growth in the real estate market in Northeast Ohio but I find there are things that sellers still need to be careful with and one is choosing an efficient title company. Mind you I have not found a title company that did a bad job. But I have to tell you everyone is unique in there operations and what they have to offer in customer service. Realtors make connections with a number of title agencies many times not under their control because of the buyer's choice. But as a result of this you learn which companies have great accessible service. It is accessible service that makes the better title company in my learning's. If you are attempting to sell a home on your own or have a history with a previous title company, contact your local Realtor. In the latest symptom of a sick economy, more Ohioans -- like others across the country -- are resorting to bankruptcy.

They owe almost twice as much as in past generations, and their ranks have expanded to include more senior citizens. "It could be anybody, from any walk of life," said Robert Keach, American Bankruptcy Institute president-elect. "Generally speaking, these are people who worked hard, had good jobs and just don't anymore."

So far this year, 26,042 people and companies have filed for bankruptcy in the Northern Ohio District of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court -- 11 percent more than in the same period last year in the state's 40 northernmost counties. That includes 3,587 last month, a 38 percent jump over October 2007. Included in the year-to-date total are the 19,708 filings for the more dire Chapter 7, which has already leapfrogged last year's total of 19,120.

Northeast Ohioans are doing better than people elsewhere, though. Nationally, bankruptcies have jumped 33 percent, with more than 880,000 bankruptcies filed through October, according to the American Bankruptcy Institute. Experts attribute most of the increase to people who hadn't saved much and, now, after an illness or job loss or adjusted mortgage rate, can't pay the bills. They can't keep borrowing because banks are reluctant to grant credit. So, after years of stretching credit like Silly Putty, they quit fighting and file.
