I thought that I'd give you a glimpse of what has been happening in Defiance, Ohio over the past month.

As of today there are currently 201 homes for sale in Defiance, Ohio. That includes homes where the kids would go to the schools of Defiance, Tinora and Ayersville.

There are 7 homes contingent and 7 homes pending.

18 homes were sold in the past month.

So, what do these stats tell us? First, that there are a lot of homes for sale. Second that 18 homes were sold in the cold months of January and February and that 14 more are heading for closing. Not too shabby for how cold it has been around here.

It's been about 8 years since I moved to this great little community in the Northwest part of Ohio, and I have to say that it really does live up to it's billing. The motto for Defiance, Ohio is "Defiance, A Great Place To Live" and it truly is. There is so much opportunity here. We are in the throws of all kinds of new construction and development that the landscaping here is changing all the time. The new expanded 24 Highway will be such a blessing as it will definitely shorten the time it takes to get from here to either Fort Wayne or Toledo. Neither of which are really all that far away, but because of the roads it takes some time to get there.

The history of this town is something that I had no idea of when I moved here. I am constantly learning new things about this quaint little town and I am looking forward to many many more years here.
