What is the history of your neighborhood? Today I thought I would check out Holland, Ohio. What I already knew was that even though I live in Holland, Ohio there is this Village of Holland, Ohio. So that actually the Village of Holland Ohio is surrounded by Springfield Township and we say we live in Holland, Ohio.
That knowledge, should you not have known, might come in handy when you're searching area for real estate homes or condominiums for sale in Holland, Ohio. The first name of the village was Drakes, which possibly came from the name of a family or was in reference to the large number of geese that did and still fly over the area. Later the crossroads called itself Hardy. The most likely derivation of the name comes from a story about Franklin Hall (an early house builder in the area) that states when he platted the land for the building of his houses, he asked that it be called Hall Land. Supposedly, the clerk or other official changed the “a” to an “o” and eliminated one “l”, thus Holland.
Well, there's a little bit about Holland, Ohio and its' history. Next time I will familiarize you with some of the neighborhoods within "Holland, Ohio."
Holland is a village in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,306 at the 2000 census.

I live in Holland, Ohio which is just west of Toledo, Ohio that represents a large area of Lucas County. Listed below are the market trends for Holland, Ohio. "Source: http://homesforsalelucascounty.com
Review the inventory and health of the market by looking at the number of sold and listed properties.
To understand if the market inventory is growing or shrinking, compare the number of sold properties to new listings. If inventory is growing, the market could be trending toward a buyer's market. If inventory is shrinking, then it could be a seller's market.
Gauge the health of the market by comparing the number of standard to distressed listings. If the number of distressed listings is greater, the market could be unhealthy and more likely a buyer's market.

Yes, it's summertime and the weather is warm, people are friendly, and we have two more months to enjoy living in Holland, Ohio. I live on a lake and my most enjoyable moments are going out on my boat (with an electric engine), to quietly ride around the lake, take a swim, or read a book while drifting around the lake on a warm sunny day.
A friend recently sent me this picture of a t shirt that says it all. See what you think:
Holland recently completed the Strawberry Festival with a parade of floats and people that brought out hundreds of people from the Holland area to set up camp along Angola Road. At Community Homecoming Park there were all kinds of rides for adults and kids plus lots of strawberry shortcakes to sell.
I hope all of your are enjoying your summer as much as I am!

Whisper Woods Subdivisionis located off Angola Road. As you travel through this subdivision you will eventually meet up with Deerfield Forest which is off Hill Avenue. There are quite a few trees in this subdivision and offers a variety of styles.

As you can see from this picture the sun is out, the bushes are green and the and it must be at spring time.
Writing about this subdivision in February 2011 you probably know that the Toledo, Ohio area has had a lot of snow in the past couple of weeks. I like this picture a lot more than what it looks like right now with lots of snow piled all around the entrance.
This is a popular subdivision as it is one of the newer ones in the Holland, Ohio area.
Currently there are 4 active and 1 pending listing in this subdivision. This past year there were 10 homes sold. The selling prices ranged from $190,000 to $248,000.
