"Come to Hudson for the Holidays - Friday, November 25, 2011 (3-8 PM)

Kick off the holiday shopping season with a magic-filled trip to Hudson on the day after Thanksgiving. Special events begin at 3 PM, with many stores and restaurants offering specials, refreshments, drawings and more (see below). Luminarias will be lit about 4:30, and downtown will glow with holiday cheer. Catch a special appearance by Santa and his elves at Keller Williams/Chervenic Realty from 2-5 PM, just before he crosses Main Street to join in the Celebration of Lights & Caroling at the Gazebo at 5 PM.

This Celebration has been created by three groups - Hudson League for Service, Hudson Community Service and The Merchants of Hudson - and includes the long-time tradition of Caroling on the Green with a "Lighting of the Green" (the lights will magically go on during the caroling), all to tie in with the lighting of the luminarias, which turn downtown into a fairyland. Carolers are encouraged to gather just before 5 PM, bringing along flashlights or battery-powered lanterns. Booklets of carols will be distributed at the event. Keller Williams/Chervenic Realty invites all carolers to come to their Main Street office (148 N. Main St) for cookies & hot chocolate after the Celebration is over.

The annual Merchants of Hudson Trick or Treat will be Oct. 27 from 4 to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Main Street, First & Main and Acme Plaza merchants (many in costume themselves) will line the sidewalks and hand out treats to costumed youngsters.

Trick or Treat will be observed at Winterberry Heights on Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Brentwood Drive and Atterbury Boulevard neighborhoods will observe Halloween on Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Hudson does not schedule a city-wide trick-or-treat time.

One of my friends is Bill McCarthy of Bill McCarthy & Associates. Recently I learned that he has a great way to protect your savings and your home. The Staging and Sale of 83 Sussex Hudson Ohio

This traditional Hudson home has a great location, beautiful yard, roomy bedrooms, outstanding neighborhood and fantastic schools. It was a showcase all of its life, known for luxurious furnishings and beautiful gardens, until it was empty. It just looked sad and tired. We needed to show its potential!
