Commentary - To begin, for those not familiar with Hunting Valley, it is one of the most exclusive suburbs in the entire Cleveland Metropolitan area. Many of the most well-known Clevelanders have built country estates in Hunting Valley. The homes are typically situated on numerous sprawling acres on some of the area's most picturesque land. With a population of 799 and only 300 homes ( Source: U.S. Census Bureau, 2005-2009 American Community Survey ), it is obvious why there are so few transfers here in any given year.
The average sales price tells you that this small exclusive village is home to the ultra-wealthy, those probably not as affected by the tough economy as most. We anticipate home sales in Hunting Valley to be in the double-digits this year as buyers are starting to feel more comfortable moving forward with their housing goals.
