Kirtland Ohio Regency Woods Tidbits

                                

                                                                     Even though it appears as though the Regency Woods Neighborhood is huge because it connects to The Sanctuary, there are only about 100 homes in the Regency Woods Development.

 

There are three entrances to Regency Woods off of Kirtland-Chardon Road - Woods Way Drive, Regency woods Drive, and Amber Wood Drive.  There is one entrance off of Booth Road which is Forest Edge Drive.  There are a number of homes on Kirtland-Chardon Road and Booth Road that are a part of the Regency Woods Development.

                                            Regency Woods is just minutes from Penitentiary Glen Reservation

and Holden Arboretum where you will find many walking trails, picnic grounds and various programs to enjoy the natural surroundings.   Lake Metroparks Farmpark, where you will find interactive activities with farm animals, wagon rides and various demonstrations, is a short drive from Regency Woods.

                   The Regency Woods Development is conveniently located with easy access to the highway, a short drive to the grocery store and almost every type of shop/store is either at the mall or close to the mall.  The commute to downtown Cleveland is about 30 minutes.  For those who wish to pursue education, you can do so at Lakeland Community College which is only about 10 minutes from the neighborhood and a multitude of community classes.

The school bus comes through the neighborhood and stops at the driveway to pick up and drop off the local school children.  The Kirtland High School is a Blue Ribbon Award winner and there are many school activities for the kids to get involved with.

Regency Woods Development, Kirtland Ohio - A Lot To Like About It

                         Living in Regency Woods is like surrounding yourself in peace and happiness!  

 

When I moved to Regency Woods one of the very first things I noticed is the stars!  The night sky is beautiful here and I watch for the moon every night.  There is a big difference because there are not a lot of lights in our Regency Woods Development.

I like waking up to the birds chirping or the woodpecker pecking away at a nearby tree, there is something about those sounds that bind me every day to the present and is a gentle reminder to enjoy every minute.

                                                                   When I drive into Regency Woods, I am instantly calm and troubles of the day are melted away.  Your spirits are easily lifted once you pull into our Regency Woods neighborhood from the sheer beauty of the winding streets, gentle hills, lush vegetation and abundant wildlife.

                                                   

 

 

 

 

It's an every day occurrence in our Regency Woods Development to see a deer family (we even have an albino), different color squirrels like black and gray, many kinds of birds, and of course the neighborhood dogs being walked by their owners.  Joggers, runners, walkers and bikers are also seen daily through Regency Woods.

"City Girl" Moves To The Country, Regency Woods Development Kirtland, Ohio

                Or for as much as one could call a suburban dweller a "city girl"

 

                          Eleven years ago, while on our mission to buy a buildable lot, we stopped at our friends' house who had recently built a beautiful home in the Regency Woods Development and they told us about the lot we built our house on.

 

As it turned out the daughter of the developer for the Regency Woods Development had bought a lot and decided not to build there because her husband was transferred, so the lot was for sale. 

                                                              We drove over to the lot, fell in love with it, picked up the sign, threw it in the trunk of the car, drove home, called and bought the lot!  We were now the proud owners of a beautiful 2 acre lot in the gorgeous Regency Woods Development.

We built a home that I still love to this day in the Regency Woods Development, but I sure did have a big learning curve!

                             The "city girl" in me measured driving distance by minutes, not by miles - and I still do.     I quickly found out that I could no longer walk to the drug store, ice cream store, bank, or to buy bread & milk and everything was a minimum 10 minute drive now that I moved to Regency Woods.    

Oh! And there are no sidewalks in our Regency Woods Development.  Where were my kids going to ride their bikes?                 And the bugs!  I have never seen so many variations!    

                                                                                                                                               

              This "city girl" was completely freaked out when I moved into Regency Woods.

 

 

 

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, deep breath!  It did not take very long at all for me to fall in love with Regency Woods.  The scenes from season to season are priceless.  The Regency Woods Developers did not bull doze down the trees and left most of them in tack and they followed the graceful lines of the natural terrain.  And my neighbors are wonderful!

There's a lot to like about the Regency Woods Development!
