Here is our official 2010 year in review for Mayfield Heights,  complete with a comparison to 2009. We will provide commentary after giving statistics on the Mayfield Heights housing market.

Here is a break down of all 2010 sales by specific price bands:

Commentary -  Both sales and average sales price were down in 2010 compared to the previous year. The $100,000-$150,000 price point was the most popular, most likely a result of the home buyer tax credit in the spring.

Moving forward, Mayfield Heights is part of the excellent rated Mayfield School District, and remains a desirable place to live. In addition, it offers great location, with easy access to the highway, and is also a manageable drive to downtown. We anticipate sales numbers this year to be about the same, but with a higher average sales price, as the number of lower priced distressed properties will likely decrease.

 Mayfield Heights Ohio - Future Rock Stars Perform Benefit For Cancer

Local young rock stars will be performing a benefit concert this Thursday night, with proceeds going toward cancer research.

WHEN: Thursday, November 18th, 2010

WHERE: The Boneyard, 5900 Mayfield Rd, Mayfield Heights, Oh

TIME: 6:00 PM

Club Rock, a 10 week workshop for children ages 4-16, teaches kids techniques for singing and performing.  At the end of the 10 week session, the children get to perform live in front of an audience. This particular concert will feature Club Varsity, the more experienced members of club rock, along with local rock star, Avril Berg and her band Run Avril Run.  

Admission will be $2 at the door, and proceeds will go to Cycle For Survivor, a charity that raises money to fight rare cancers.

Cleveland will be holding Cycle For Survival for the first time on February 13, 2011 at the Solon Recreation Center.  Cycle for Survival is an indoor team cycling event that raises money to support research on rare cancers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). 

The Cleveland Cycle For Survival Event is being organized by Stacy Starkoff, a local resident who is currently being treated at MSKCC. Please view the brief video below on Stacy's story:
