The heat of summer and current market slump here in Oklahoma may have some sellers wondering if they will ever get their home sold (of course if it is properly staged and priced it WILL sell quickly) or if they will still be on the market by Fall. One thing that any seller should do right now is to take outside photos of their home while the flowers are blooming and the trees are green and leafy.

If you are lucky enough to have a pool or spa, take a moment to put out a colorful beach towel, sunglasses and tanning lotion bottle next to it and take a "staged" shot that will entice a buyer to picture themselves in that pool no matter what the temperature outside. Remember you're selling the sizzle!

Whether you listed your home in the cold months of January or plan to list it in the fall, you will want to update the outdoor shots of your property, so why not update your digital photos and show your true (summer) colors!

"What is he doing?" you ask? Simple. He's trying to get a Haynes folded up t shirt out of a frozen ziplock 1 gallon bag.

Why? For the fun of it!

We did this summertime fun activity with the kids at our church the other night because it makes a great summer activity. The goal is to be the first team to get the shirt unfrozen, unfolded and on one of the team members.

It is harder than it looks! The frozen ice from the ziplock bags locks the shirts into an ice square that is freezing cold to the touch.

The rules are: You can only use your hands and the ground. No pavement allowed. No hitting fence posts, no dipping in water, etc.

It took our kids about 20 minutes to get the shirts melted, unfolded and on someone. They had a blast!
