Yukon, OK twister in front of my office - by Bo Kociuba, Realtor

It came with a vengence. Wild, powerful and violent weather with a twist...a lot of twisters that is.

The day of February 10th started pretty good - sunny and nice. We were expecting heavy storms  in the afternoon. But oh my, we didn't expect this kind of violence!

Just across from my office, Keller Williams Realty, just yards away, I could see this twister. It was coming toward me, dark, swollen, rotating and angry.

I took this picture and then ran to the safe room inside the office. This one was rotating very, very  low and we didn't know when at what moment it would make a touch down. Thankfully it didn't! It went farther North toward Edmond and took it's carnage there by destroying shopping centers and neighborhoods. February 10 hail in Oklahoma City by Bo Kociuba, Realtor

Above: Twister just yards away from my office.

Another funnel was so close to my house, like quarter of a mile, we were watching it with our neighbors. I didn't take a picture because we were already in the underground shelter.

With this violent weather came huge amount of hail. From pea size to golf and baseball size. Winds were blowing over 60mph in Yukon which is on the West side of the Metro. The hail storm was pounding on the roofs and on cars. Braking the carvwindows and totalling the roofs. The sound was dreadful - like thousands of gun shots piercing the roof, windows and siding.

Schools were placed on 'lock-down' for over two hours. Loss of electircal power...Cars lost windshields, windows and we could see the dents on hoods.   Local hospital lost few windows...

Little Buddy appaloosa by Bo Kociuba, Keller Williams

I was present when this little sweet thing was born...what a miracle! He was so akward and a bit tired but really tried hard to stand up on his legs...Since he was born he was always a pure joy to have, however, he is capable of showing some temper and "who is the boss" attitude. He comes from an excellent bloodline and my friends hope for a "good bump" in their retirement...LOL...Enjoy!

House market moving? Or just a wishful thinking?! by Bo Kociuba, www.Okla-OK.com

House market moving

For the last few days it looks like the "staleness" started getting some life. And what do I mean by that? My phone started ringing to schedule showings and few buyers want to know more information about the properties and financing...Is this just because of the weather being kissed by few sunshiny days or we are getting into a prelude of change?

This kind of action looks really promising. And I believe a lot of us are ready to start being Realtors in the full sense of this title.

What about other markets? Have you noticed any change?

There is so many great things going for the consumer - rates, lowest in decades, great tax credit from Uncle Sam and of course so many houses to choose from...

It is called BUYER'S MARKET for a reason! Hopefully consumers will start taking advantage of it!

Wishing you all the best, Bo
