Last weekend my office had a booth at the Oklahoma City Home & Garden Show. It was fun to meet the public and answer questions about buying and selling real estate in Oklahoma. It was also a great opportunity to meet other exhibitors participating in the event and learn about new products in the industry.
While there, I had the chance to meet Josh Stallings, the owner of Steel-Built Construction. Josh is offering custom, steel framed, residential homes with six inch exterior walls! As he told me about his product I immediately remembered seeing his current project in Edmond. It was recently in the framing stage and could not be missed as you drove west on NW 150. You may have noticed it too. While new construction is not uncommon in Edmond, a steel frame house certainly is different!
Josh is building a home in the gated, luxury, lakefront community, The Lakes at Traditions. The Lakes at Traditions is located near NW 150 and Santa Fe (map). This new community will feature over forty acres of private parks, a pool and clubhouse, lakes, trails, sports courts and more! The Steel-Built Construction home has 2900 square feet (with an option of an additional 500 square feet upstairs!), three bedrooms, three full and two half bathrooms, and a three car garage.
It's great to see innovative building concepts coming to Edmond, Oklahoma! What do you think about steel framed homes? Let's get the conversation going
