About Edmond's Thomas Trails

With so many neighborhoods in Edmond, maybe you haven't heard of Thomas Trails yet. Thomas Trails is a popular neighborhood in Edmond. The addition is conveniently located off Covell Road (NW 206th) and Thomas (between Kelly and Broadway) with many amenities like recreation and shopping nearby. Grab a cup of coffee and let me tell you what I like about this subdivision.

As you enter the neighborhood from Covell Road, you are greeted by a lovely landscaped entrance that you will enjoy coming home to every day. Each of the streets that wind through are named for a historic trail of the frontier. You will find neighbors out walking the, Butterfield Trail, Oregon Trail, Bright Angel Trail, and of course Appalachian Trail. Kiddos are playing at the park on Bozeman Trail. Speaking of kiddos, you should note that students attend John Ross Elementary, which neighbors the addition. Not far away is Cheyenne Middle School and Edmond North High School.

Construction of Thomas Trails began around 2004 and continues today. Most of the homes are just under 2000 square feet with three bedrooms plus an office and two bathrooms. Three car garages are common. Most of the homes are finished nicely with granite counter tops, hardwood cabinetry, and some have wood floors. There are currently fifteen homes available for sale (according to the OKC MLS) and most are listed under $200,000. So far in 2010, we have seen 24 homes sell. The average sold price has been $188,988 after 76 days on the market.

Thomas Trails is a 250 home community in near-north Edmond just east of Kelly Avenue and south of Covell Road.

This is a great location. Close by John Ross Elementary, Cheyenne Middle School and Edmond North High School. There’s a cool shopping area on the corner of Covell Road and Kelly Avenue, “The Villages at Coffee Creek”. Just around the corner is Mitch Park, Lowes and Banks. Just south is downtown Edmond. There’s great highway access to I-35 just east on Covell Road.

Prices currently range from $150,000 to $225,000. The majority of homes were built by Carder & Sharp, Heartland Homes, Tommy Huelscamp, & Shane Walters.

Construction began in 2004 and as of today there a just a few lots still being built on.
