ALL KINDS OF RECORDS HAVE BEEN BROKEN THIS YEAR!

This has surely been a year that is!  All types of records are being broken.  We wonder how many actually..., records lows in the economy, record lows real estate sales, record lows in interest rates, record highs in the number of short sales and certainly broken records here in the Toronto Canada area with record highs in rainfalls this summer and now that summer is drawing to a close, (this is the last weekend of summer), record number of days without rain!

Yes that is what they are telling us.  That July 2009 was one of the rainest months reported in years. Now with the end of summer this weekend, we have just broken another record.  The longest number of days without rain since 1967, 21 full days!  This record may be an omen... the last time our Toronto Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup was in 1967... Go Leafs Go!!!

What a wonderful way to kick off the stunning days of Fall, Walking On Sunshine, don't you agree!

Second time in two months! Yes, it was another sad day for me and my client. The fault was of my client's Mortgage Broker who did not want to give mortgage committement within the stipulated time. Incidently everything was fine with my client.

I curse my self. I should have forced my client and refer him to my broker!

Thousands Run Across Canada In Honour of Terry Fox

The 29th annual run in honour of Terry Fox who died from cancer at age 22. The disease stopped his quest to run across Canada. More years than he lived, his story of courage and hope remains in the heart of millions.

Terry lost his right leg to cancer at 18, began his Marathon of Hope in St. John's, running 42 kilometres a day through the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario. He was forced to stop the cross-country trek outside Thunder Bay in September 1980 after logging 5,373 kilometres when cancer spread to his lungs. Terry died the following summer.

The Terry Fox Run was established that fall and has raised more than $400 million for cancer research in his name.

Runs were staged in more than 900 communities across Canada, including 230 in Ontario, and 28 other countries.

We were in Orillia, Ontario this afternoon and witnessed hundreds and hundreds of people participating in the run.

Terry Fox RunThere were a lot of people running, but others were riding their bicycles, rollerblading and good old walking. Terry Fox Run

The young and old along with many of their dogs were having a great time working their way along the Orillia waterfront.

It hasn't been announced yet, but millions of dollars will be raised today to go towards the ongoing fight of this deadly disease.
