The Internet is changing how we present ourselves in the real estate business. We now need to connect with clients online, create relationships and then fill their housing needs. What we now profile is community.
Where are the local hotspots, How is the Corner Cuisine? I have concentrated my efforts on the better detached homes in superior neighbourhoods that comprise the West Toronto GTA thru Mississauga and into Oakville. My marketing efforts online have attracted prospective Buyers, not only from the local markets but also from outside Canada entirely. Why exclude yourself from the largest pool of buyers in Ontario?
When I receive inquiries about communities in Lorne Park, Mineola or Oakville, I can respond with property brochures in printed form or as a PDF file by email. This permits our new neighbours to have a look at all the floor plans and house placement prior to a site visit as well as photo and video arrays of the entire community with online sharing from the privacy of their own home. Wouldn't you like a drive through experience?

Finally I've done it!
I've always had an affinity with nature and ecology, as far back as I can remember. Oh, we may have had different terminology, but just the same, I have always cared for nature and all things to be conserved by watching nature and it's wonders folding and unfolding again.
As a little boy on our farm in western Manitoba, I spent all my waking hours and days out-of-doors. We had no TV or internet, and our neighbours were miles down the road. So I played with my friends the birds, the farm animals, the creatures of the forest, the fields, the ponds and the streams. I could swoop like a hawk, chatter like a magpie, chastise like a bluejay, threaten like a crow, and quack like a mallard. I made up stories and games with the plow-horse, the milking cows, the hens, the pigs and, of course, my constant companion, Nipper, our herding Border Collie, who kept me in check.
So finally, instead of just telling my clients about ways to save money on heat, electricity and water in their homes, I now have credentials to back it up. Funny, what a few letters do for you.
I now am an Accredited Green Agent (AGA)!
When you're considering buying or selling, consider the Green aspects of your purchase and sale. Many buyers, especially those born after 1975, are conscious of keeping our planet green, and will lean towards a Green home, all things being equal. They are usually willing and expect to pay a little more for it.
Besides, a Green home is a comfortable home.
Want some knowledgeable advice on buying, selling or converting to a Green home, give me a call, I'm an ACCREDITED GREEN AGENT now!

Aldershot is located at the western edge of Burlington on Burlington Bay. Known for its sandy soil Aldershot was especially suited to growing melons. The term “Aldershot melon” grew in fame as did PEI potatoes and BC apples.
Aldershot along with the town of Nelson amalgamated with Burlington in 1958.
The Royal Botanical Gardens, a world-class tourist attraction and facility is located in the Aldershot area of Burlington. The natural landscape setting of the Grindstone Creek and the Lake Ontario shoreline are the perfect setting for the gardens.
The older quaint neighbourhoods of Aldershot are on large well-maintained lots and the landscaped appearance reflects the character of many heritage quality residences. The large mature trees lining the streets add to the beauty of the area. A good many of the homes are bungalows and are perfect for empty nesters who want to downsize. There are also new home developments with condo townhouses, condo apartments and a new apartment complex in the old Zeller’s plaza providing a wide range of housing for those wishing to move to this area.
Aldershot is also just a short distance to downtown Burlington and Spencer Smith Park. This park enjoys many events during the summer months some of which are the Sound of Music Festival in June and the Rib Fest which is one the largest in North America.
Also located in Aldershot is LaSalle Park and Marina just a short walk from Plains Road. This 57 acre parcel of land includes sports fields, trails, a marina and picnic areas. The shoreline of the park is dedicated to fish and wildlife habitat managements. There are swans, ducks, geese and other wildlife to be seen during every season. This parcel of land was purchased in 1957 by the Hamilton Parks Board and Burlington has a lease agreement from Hamilton. It was originally called Wabasso Park but the name was changed to honour Sieur de La Salle’s landing in the area. The name was changed to La Salle Park in 1927.
Aldershot is a pleasant place to live with a strong feeling of community. There are many fine restaurants, family restaurants and take-out. Nancy's Flavours on Plains Road has authentic Greek pastries which are delicious. It is one of many new businesses along Plains Rd includingSpa Vaidosa and Ornella's Barber and Hair Dressing at 372 Plains Rd E in the live/work development. The Aldershot library has relocated to the new Seniors condos at the corner of Sanford and Plains Rd East.
Aldershot Farmers Market is located on Cook Blvd. off Plains Road just one block east of Waterdown Road. The market operates on Sunday and Thursday thoughout the summer.
Aldershot is a pleasant place to live with a strong feeling of community.
A new interchange has now been completed at Waterdown Road and the QEW. You are now able to access Waterdown Road when travelling west on the QEW and also access the east bound lanes from Waterdown Road. This interchange will increase development in the Aldershot area and increase Burlington real estate prices.

Pete Karreman, owner of Omni Basement Systems, our dealer in Ontario, Canada was always a "think outside the box" type of business man, never afraid of stepping out of his comfort zone.
Having recently purchased a new home, he was faced with the challenge of selling his old home, in a competitive real estate market, as quickly as possible.
Already known in the area for driving around town in a decked-out and decaled Nissan Cube with a full-size stuffed mannequin sitting in the passenger seat, Karreman is no stranger to getting attention.
To him, marketing his home is no different than marketing his basement waterproofing services in Ontario.
The house, on the market since November, 12 is located on a half-acre property in Dundas and comes with a pool, home theater, hot tub, and panoramic views. It is listed at $419,900.
It also comes with a buyer's choice of $1,000 worth of free beer or free wine. Buy the house, get the beer.
“This is an exercise in marketing,” Karreman said. “This is about getting your name out there.”
As unconventional as it may seem, it worked. Peter managed to get some local media attention, and a recent open house lured 36 potential buyers.
