My company, Royal LePage, is one of the sponsors of this year's Movies on the Beach & In the Park Under the Stars.

The schedule is as follows:

• June 24th - Kanata Walter Baker Park
• July 8th - Westboro Beach
• July 22nd - Petrie Island
• August 5th - South Nepean Park (Barrhaven)
• August 19th - Mooney's Bay

On average, over 1,000 people come out to each event to watch a movie under the stars!

The movie is choosen by the radio listeners to the hosting radio stations, BOB FM and Majic 100. It is a fun event, the right price and a way to get out and enjoy the Ottawa summer.

Mark your calendars! Bring a blanket and popcorn.

It is the fall. Time to clean up your yard.

If you are thinking of putting your house on the market in the next few weeks, now is the time to get out and really "do a number" on the outside of the house. It is warm and there is no snow. This will apply to people in the hot states as well, just not the snow. Everything is visible and you can tackle the biggest jobs now. If you need to, hire a contractor or a handyman to help you through the process. If you are waiting until the snow fall so that the mess will be hidden, forget it. At some point during your sale, the snow will melt and all will be revealed. It will then be impossible to make the needed improvements. (Painting in freezing temperatures does work - for the paint and the painter.) Make sure that Buyers can enter your home safely and that their first impression will be good. Remember, you have about 120 seconds to get a favourable review so.....

Start with the exterior and work to the interior.
