The High Desert Bellydance Guild is putting on a Summer Showcase at Mirror Pond Plaza Drake Park.  There will of course be Bellydancing along with live drumming by Dave Goodman.

Bring your blankets or low back chairs to Mirror Pond Plaza at Drake Park to enjoy this free evening of dancing and drumming

The Saving Grace Children's Festival is a fun afternoon of food, art, jumping and prizes.  The Children's festival includes 40+ activity booths including mask making, bouncy houses, basketball toss, bubble pools, face painting and more.  The Drake Park stage will host musical entertainment, Karate and gymnastics demonstrations. After all the fantastic activities grab some child friendly food options and have a seat at the Drake Park stage.

356 Things to do in Bend - Relax, picnic or walk the Deschutes River at Drake Park

Drake Park near downtown Bend, OR is a favorite place for relaxing by the river, having an afternoon Picnic or taking a stroll along the Deschutes. It's a great place to let the kids frolic, snap a few pictures or do a bit of people watching!

I snapped these pictures walking back to the car after the 2010 Downtown Summer Festival.

Conveniently located between downtown Bend and Galveston Drake Park is also an excellent walk after eating too much at one of the fantastic local restaurants downtown. It's also a fun place to sit down with an afternoon lunch.

Many of our local festivals are located in Drake Park so you're sure to end up here eventually. I love the festivals but enjoy some of the more quiet days at Drake Park as well.

Things to Do in Bend - Munch and Music Free Concerts in Drake Park

Free Music + Local Food + Beer Garden + Sunshine + Bouncy Houses + Friends = Fun in Bend

I hope you're as excited as I am!  Tonight marks the first night of Bend's annual Munch and Music Free Concerts in Drake Park.  2010 marks the 20th anniversary of Munch and Music. Cameron Clark the owner of C3 Events is the brains behind the event - way to go Cameron!

So pack up your blankets, small chairs, snacks and family and head over to Drake Park for this fantastic free concert series perfect for adults, kids, families everyone!! If sitting in the grass and crowds aren't for you, get out your raft, kayak or canoe and listen to the music from the Deschutes River.  Alder Creek Kayaks will be there with rentals as well.

Time: Thursday's 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
