Looking for a Great Value in Central Oregon Golf – River’s Edge Golf Course in Bend, Oregon is a must play. Situated on Awbrey Butte on Bend’s NW side, almost all 18 holes have stunning views of Powell Butte, the Deschutes River, Mt. Hood or Mt. Jefferson. River’s Edge Golf Course is an 18-hole par-72 Robert Muir Graves designed course. The front 9 was built in 1987 and the back 9 along with a new Proshop were added in 1994. The Course has a full practice facility including a large driving range as well as a large chipping and putting green. River’s Edge Golf Course has also been named to Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play.” Having played a few rounds here myself, I must agree - it’s tough but fun.

River’s Edge Golf Course is one of the few Courses in Bend, Oregon, open year round. Weather permitting you can play golf in January, July or November. The greens fees are consistently rated one of the best values in Bend by the golfers, both visitors and locals. River’s Edge golf course is a great golf course for anyone to play, from the novice to the scratch golfer. It offers a very playable course for beginners or very challenging course for the more advance golfer playing from the back tee. A par 4, hole number 6 is the course’s signature hole with an approach shot to an elevated green behind a pond with a 25-foot waterfall. River’s Edge Golf Course is filled with strong elevation changes, approach shots to elevated greens, and tee shots down slopped fairways. Tall pines, lava rock outcroppings and several ponds add to the beauty of the meticulously maintained course.

If you’re a fan of golf course living, River’s Edge Golf Course is surrounded by River’s Edge Village. A highly desired neighborhood of Custom Built homes on homesites 0.25 acres or larger. There are still a few homesites available for Custom builds as well as several homes for sale. Golf Course membership is separate from homeownership, it’s open to anyone and a great value!
