While showing a home in Salishan on the Central Oregon Coast this week, I came upon a very curious sight. Fuzzy looking dirt stuck to the siding. Hmmmm.....
Upon closer inspection, I saw the dirt on this house was moving and crawling about! It was a caterpillar freeway with a couple of offramps at the windowsills!
I want you to know this is an area of very exclusive homes with awesome ocean views, these caterpillars are very comfy and happy with their new home!
I shall now cue the Perry Mason theme song and the following..... "I have nothing further to add your honor!"
Dear readers, please have an adventurous and happy real estate day! Call me if you want a house (sans caterpillars...) here on the Oregon Coast!

If you have ever been out to visit the area between Lincoln City and Gleneden Beach on the central Oregon coast, you will recognize this photo of the Siletz Bay looking from the Salishan spit toward and area of south Lincoln City called Taft.
Large trees like this one come in through the mouth of the bay and beach themselves during the low tide. Anglers and beachcombers beware, they are large and dangerous while in motion and will roll around as the tide level rises in this constantly active environment.
The Oregon Coast is a beautiful and awesome place to live or visit. The Salishan spit is a section of homes between the bay and ocean with a golf course winding between them. Send me comments and I will show you more of this wild and wonderful place!
