Bobbie Bashian, Broker: Real Estate Agent in La Pine, OR

Let's face it.... When on vacation your looking for the most amenities, top attractions, affordability, and when your going to find time to relax no matter the time of year...Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter. Why not look for these same features when choosing your next property whether it be for full time residence or a place to call a 2nd home?

In the heart of South Deschutes County is where you will find it all.

LAZY RIVER SOUTH....Here is where you will find your dreams coming to life with lots and already developed properties ranging from the mid 80'sk to the million dollar price range. This friendly neighborhood has it all, no matter the time or season. Live in the treed area for the more outdoorsy feel or choose to be in an open meadow lot. Wake up in the morning to the various types of birds singing and enjoy the sunrise that crests over the beautiful view of the Paulina Peaks or watch the sunset towards the western view of Mt. Bachelor seen from several lots located throughout Lazy River South. Appreciate the paved roads throughout that many residents take advantage of by getting out and riding their bikes or walking. Like to float the river or just take the family pet for a swim? No Problem...If your not one of the many properties bordering the Little Deschutes River, no worry there are several places that allow for public access into and out of the river. Like to Golf? Lazy River South also is located within the vicinity of Quail Run Golf Course. Many homes and properties border the course or are within 3 miles of it. Quail Run Golf Course was started in 1991 and is proud to entertain the Golf enthusiast with its 18 hole course. Many visitors have said that "playing at this course is beyond belief with its great condition and warm and welcoming staff."

Prefer Winter Sports? Try snowmobiling, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, iceskating, or just a good ole fashion snowball fight. Let's just say all of this and more right in your own back yard, or within 45 minutes to travel to Mt. Bachelor, Paulina Peak, Willamette Pass, or even just Sunriver 15 miles North on Hwy 97.

Home Sales Over $350,000 in La Pine Oregon

Central Oregon Real Estate | Broker Thesa Chambers, Licensed in Oregon: Real Estate Agent in La Pine, OR

We all hear the doom and gloom of the market - and most of the time I can help bring this into prespective for the seller in La Pine.  This last week I have had 2 conversations with sellers or soon to be sellers regarding homes that have sold over $350,000 in La Pine.

There have been 0 - zero - nada - none in the last year... does that mean they should not list their homes?  I say no.... you see a year ago I was not marketing La Pine, not that I am a miracle worker.... but I do seem to bring in buyers that others do not.  And although I have not closed escrow on one of these homes I do have 3 potential sellers looking for exactly what they have to offer in the way of a home.

I am receiving emails and infor inquiries about homes up to $500,000 - I find it interesting that other brokers out there are telling these people not to list or to list at $100,000 lower than they should simply because none of the brokers last year had the buyers for these homes.

It only takes one buyer and one showing to sell a home.... you never know when that buyer will be in town or surfing the net.... so should you list?  Heck yes.... but know the facts - there are not a lot of buyers in this range, and make sure you list with an agent that is pulling in buyers.

Look at this beauty - it has 3 people coming from 200 miles or so away to see it in the next week.

thanks karen for pointing out lack of info on this particular home.... 2 bedroom plus sleeping loft, 2 beautiful bathrooms, over 2000 square feet a huge (30X60) shop on 5 acres offered at $474,800

Spring is Here - It's Time To Go Camping - Well Almost

Central Oregon Real Estate | Broker Thesa Chambers, Licensed in Oregon: Real Estate Agent in La Pine, OR

Central Oregon is full of places to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Almost every lake is located on public land with easy access for all to enjoy, most have some kind of camp groundbe it on the primitive side with just you and nature or full RV hook ups it can be found.

La Pine State Park offers not just camping but Yurts and small cabins for rent - they have "flushing potties" and showers too. La Pine State Park is located on The Big Deschutes River. One my most viewed photos was taken from this great State Park - the photo to the right is the photo I am most often asked about.

Some people will often ask what a Yurt is - the photo on the left is a yurt - for more information or to make reservations at La Pine State Park - you can visit the website La Pine State Park
