Great Pizza at Wild River Brewing and Pizza!
I decided to work from home today...both mortgage work related as well as doing some chores around the house.
Dear hubby surprised me when he came home about an hour ago and said "Let me take you to lunch!" I'm certainly not going to turn down a mid afternoon date with my best guy! We decided to head into town to Wild River Brewing. It's funny, my parents actually frequent this place for lunch A LOT! (Let's just say that the entire staff knows them by name and are pretty confident on what they will order! LOL)
I decided on a trued and tried favorite. The Wild Side mini pizza. A great wood fired pizza topped with pepperoni, sweet Italian sausage, green peppers, onion and garlic. For just $6.55 it's a great little lunch. I can only eat half of it, so I get to bring home a treat for tomorrow! Friday - Sunday they also offer a Fish n Chips special. That was hubby's pick on this visit. Oh, and they make the BEST fries!
Wild River Brewing also brews a selection of their own Microbrews. Whether you want to enjoy the beer there while nibbling on a great meal, or getting some beer to go, either will please your taste buds! They also offer tours of their brewery locations, one in Grants Pass, Oregon and the other in Cave Junction.
So, the next time you're craving a great pizza, or any item on their menu for that matter, head over to one of their five Southern Oregon locations. You won't be disappointed!

Packin' A Mighty One-Two Punch... I'm not much of a boxing fan. Watching someone get their lights punched out doesn't make my heart skip a beat. Although, I grew up in an explosive environment which taught this feisty girl the value of packin' a mighty one-two punch. Today, the pink gloves are coming out of retirement for a different reason.
Round 1 - Seeking to be Understood. Recently, I went a few rounds with a fellow Realtor (someone I really like and highly respect). After a few mince words and layers of misunderstanding, I violated my 24-Hour Rule and fired off an email to the Agent in frustration. Apparently, my tone was received in the form of a low blow and things got a little heated in the ring. Fortunately, the other Realtor exercised some toe-to-toe diplomacy and very gently pointed out the error of my ways while I listened with an open mind.
Round 2 - Seeking to Understand. It's quite common for salespeople to yak their lips and sink a few ships in their quest to be understood. A 'real professional' spends less time yakking and more time practicing the fine art of listening. In a recent featured post, For Whom the Realtor Toils, Brian L. Sirota, Esq. offers a bona fide refresher course in Seeking to Understand. As Brian so eloquently highlights... 'The walk of integrity is rarely served by walking out; it's served by earning the trust expected of a fiduciary.' And how do we earn trust? We listen. We ask questions. We seek to understand. (Feisty Girl's Note... Sometimes we hug). And so the quest for understanding begins.
Round 3 - Pounding Heads Can Make You Crazy. Naturally, there are times when many of us feel like taking out our frustration by pounding something. This crazy market has dealt some heavy blows, causing us to hang out on the ropes acting like a bully. I don't know about you, but some days it seems easier to throw in the towel and run from the ring, rather than hang around and take a few more blows. What's a girl with pink boxing gloves to do?
Round 4 - Going the distance. Sometimes its necessary to throw a one-two punch in the middle of a round. In baseball, it's called a Change-up. In basketball, it's called a 3-Point Shot. In spiritual environments, it's called a 'Come to Jesus.' When the going gets tough... the tough find a neutral corner to regroup, re-evaluate and re-energize, seeking fresh and viable alternate solutions. While it may be tempting to come out of the corner with dukes up... swinging, it's certainly not the best or only choice to resolve a difficult conflict. Seeking to understand packs a mightier punch than seeking to be understood. And when that happens... it's likely the pink gloves will come off for good and both sides can claim a win!

In the Medford Oregon Mail Tribune Newspaper there was an article on July 14, 2011 that states Fiserve Case Shiller projects a comback for Bend Oregon, Medford Oregon, and Eugene Oregon. The article goes on to say Bend which battled and surpassed Medford as the hottest real estate market in the state during the euphoric early 2000's, is the No. 2 list of 15 markets with Medford Oregon No. 3 and Eugene Oregon No. 14.
Medford Oregon which has lost about a third of its value is seen at the bottom of the market, with anticipated annual growth of 11.2% between now and 2016. It goes on to say, "When you look at comparisons versus actual prices and equilibrium right now, Medford is 25% undervalued relative to its long term equilibrium," Stiff said. "That's why the model is forecasting a big increase over the next few years, because of the bounce off the bottom we've seen in other markets."
The Top 3 are:
1. Carson City, Nev 11.9%
2. Bend, Oregon 11.7%
3. Medford, Oregon 11.2%
This article was reported by Greg Stiles of the Medford Mail Tribune.

This photo was taken from my Dad's airplane. This is Crater Lake National Park which is about 1hr 30 minutes from Medford Oregon. (Southern Oregon)
If you have never visited Crater Lake National Park that is a must see, it is amazinly beautiful and serene. There are many campgrounds near by. If you are traveling by Union Creek you need to stop by Becki's restaurant and get a home made piece of pie.

The Naked Blogger. I confess, the title of this post was inspired by some fellow Active Rainers, who's writing style makes me want to ROTFLMAO. Richard Yates, the Porn King of X-Rated real estate blogs, offers a liberating point of view in his revealing posts, often suggesting that we read between the lines and reach for a deeper meaning. Perhaps we could learn a thing or two from Richard.
When I was in the sixth grade, I dabbled in a game of Truth or Dare. I could hardly wait in anticipation of hearing someone's response to the question, Truth or Dare? The interesting and sometimes risky behavior that followed enthralled me. My fascination for the game quickly ended when I accepted a dare that sent me to the closet with a boy I didn't like. Awkward, but a useful lesson in making wiser choices.
The Truth is... getting naked doesn't have to be awkward. Inhibition often comes from a place of FEAR. We're afraid to say what we mean for fear someone may criticize us. We're afraid of being perceived as boring for fear someone may reject us. We're afraid of being misunderstood for fear someone may use our words to accuse us of saying something we didn't mean. FEAR is a relentless hand, holding us back from letting it all hang out. The opposite of FEAR is Truth. Truth exposes our nakedness, helping us to see our greatest potential.
The Naked Blogger... dares to strip down to the bare essentials, willing to reveal oneself completely to his/her audience. It doesn't require a lesson in pole dancing to get comfortable in your own skin. It requires knowing and understanding who you are and remaining true to oneself. There are plenty of exceptional writers out there who have perfected their craft. It would be easy and tempting to emulate another's style, but authenticity comes from being true and genuine to your own style.
The Naked Blogger... knows and caters to his/her audience by offering them bite size morsels of information that are pleasing and tasty to the palate. Presenting a clear, concise, intriguing and genuine message gives the reader good reason to come back for more. This is not to suggest a 'bare it all' mentality (some things are meant to be privately savored). The goal is to create a better blog by communicating clearly through easy to understand language that's universal to the reader. If they get it, they'll like it. And if they like it, they'll want more of it. That's where the craving begins.
The Naked Blogger... creates a sense of intimacy with his/her reader. There are no walls, barracades, flashing red lights or warning signs preventing those from entering. The Naked Blogger communicates openly, honestly, with feeling and fluency, and with a certain sense of vulnerability. It doesn't get any more naked than that. To be a Naked Blogger, you must Say What You Need To Say and let the clothes fall where they may! And when that happens... prepare to sit back and watch the fireworks fly baby!
