The historic Mt. Hood Town Hall stands approx. 15 miles south of Hood River in the small community of Mt. Hood, Oregon. Originally built in 1914, the hall has recently undergone a rejuvenation as many classes and programs have been established in support of its small coummunity.

I had a chance to take a "ski day" yesterday at Timberline in Mt. Hood. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and temps in the low 40's.

One of the nice things about living in Vancouver Washington is that we have close access to so many beautiful places like this. I snapped this shot at the end of the day just before driving home.

Historic Mt Hood Schoolhouse

First constructed in 1914 as a one room school house, it was later enlarged as the area grew. It now serves as a community center and has been designated a National Historic Place.

Photo Journal - Vancouver Washington Real Estate

My original plan with the Vancouver Washington Real Estate Photo Journal was occasionally post a photo of something interesting that I ran across during my day. Little did I know that the idea would snowball like it has. It seems that I find several photo worthy items every day!

Today, Janice and I took the day off to go skiing at Mt. Hood. One of the things that I love about living in Vancouver Washington is that there is so much to do during every season. Right now it is ski season and we couldn't be luckier than to live less than 2 hours from Timberline at Mt. Hood!

Of course, every good ski lodge has a good bar. Timberline is no exception!

Photo Journal - Vancouver Washington Real Estate is a new side project for me and I will occasionally post interesting pictures of the world as I see it. Sometimes it will be related to real estate in Vancouver Washington and sometimes it won't! I am not sure where this will take me. We will just have to wait and see.

PhoTabulous Friday Fotos - Winter Wonderland

Ski time in the Pacific Northwest is finally here! We bought our season passes last week, tuned the skis, and hit the slopes. It is still early in the season and Mt. Hood - Timberline already has a 68" base. Daytime temps are hanging in the low teens so the crowds are thin and the snow is staying cold and fresh.

Don't forget snow chains or studded tires as they are required for the road from the fire dept. up to the lodge. Have fun!
