Usually by this time of year the weather is sweltering so winter is sounding pretty good. This year's weather continues to be downright pleasant, usally only reaching 75 degrees each day. I still thought it would be fun to post a winter photo that feels almost foreign at this point.

Youth league basketball started last week in the Columbia River Gorge. Our son plays for the Parkdale, third and fourth grade team, practicing twice a week, then with games beginning at the end of January. We're amazed at how much the boys grow through the season as they learn the game better and get in better condition. We love all the friends we've made by attending practices and games. There's a true sense of community.

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

Santa Claus is making a special stop at the Mt. Hood Town Hall on Sunday, December 12, from 1 to 3 pm. Families are invited for a fun and free afternoon of visiting with Santa, making holiday crafts, decorating (and eating) cookies and hot drinks!
