Enchanted Portland Home is Staged ~ and has a full price offer in 2 Days (Before & Afters)
This very cute & charming English-style home was recently staged by our Portland home staging company with great results! With an active family that included kids & pets, the sellers recognized that staging would make this home more appealing to today's demanding buyers. First, we provided the sellers with a list of cosmetic fixes that needed to be completed to make it "move in ready." We recommended painting, refinishing the hardwood floors, changing out a few light fixtures, and other easy fixes. The sellers moved to their new home and the work began. Once it was staged they had 12 showings and a full-price offer in just 2 days!
Staging is not just painting and easy fixes, and it's not just bringing furniture in. The best home staging includes both cosmetic improvements AND furnishings that will complement the house. Since the demographic for this neighborhood and size home is another active family, we staged this Portland home with that target buyer in mind.
Here are some photos of the home in the 3-step process: Before any work was done; after the work was completed but before staging; and finally, staged.
The living room needed wall paint, refinished hardwood floors, removal of window coverings, painting of the fireplace screen, and a more open, spacious furniture layout ...

The dining room has wonderful features, but it was hard to see all of them before ...

The bedroom got fresh paint, new carpeting, and less furniture to let its unique features shine through ...

Before it's time to list your home, remember to contact your local professional home staging expert. You'll gain valuable advice to help prepare your home to compete in today's challenging real estate market. Investing a small amount before listing will pay off as it did for this seller, who sold for full price in just 2 days!

Alameda sits on a hill with excellent views of downtown, the Willamette and the Cascades, and boasts some of the grandest homes on the Eastside. NE Fremont Street, the neighborhood’s main east-west thoroughfare, is lined with genteel shops and restaurants, while the community’s side streets wind quietly around the hill, past stately cottages and expansive Craftsman homes. Alameda is perfectly poised between the amenities of Beaumont Village and those of Hollywood and is able to enjoy all that these commercial districts have to offer while maintaining a level or serenity uncommon in such an urban neighborhood. They have a Whole Foods, which is a personal favorite. One of the few inner Eastside neighborhoods that combine unobstructed vistas, proximity to amenities and upscale homes, Alameda is a relaxed, family-oriented place to live. The Charming Vintage Homes in Portland Oregon's Alameda Neighborhood
These charming vintage homes are currently on the market and are located in Portland's Alameda neighborhood, a desirable close-in area on the East side of the Willamette River and an easy 12-minute commute to downtown.

Alameda began its heydey in the 1920's and maintained its popularity through several generations. Residents enjoy access to public transportation and several wonderful parks including Grant Park (19 acres) and Wilshire Park (14 acres), both of which offer a variety of activities including picnic areas, sport fields, playgrounds, dog off-leash areas, and wading pools. The schools in the Alameda district are among the best in the city of Portland; they include Alameda Elementary, Beaumont Middle School, Grant High School and Madeleine (a private K-8 Catholic school).

For those who prefer to get their exercise by walking, there's a great walk through the Alameda neighborhood that allows for stunning views of charming and diverse homes and gardens, views over the city, and tree-lined steets. Many areas of the Alameda neighborhood have a high walk score.

You'll find a wide variety of architectural home styles in the Alameda neighborhood, including English Tudor, Queen Anne, Craftsman bungalows, Southern colonials, and early Portland foursquare styles. The Alameda neighborhood is centered on the streets of NE 33rd and NE Fremont; north of Fremont, you'll leave the symmetric grid-blocks and begin ascending in elevation where the streets run at angles, and some are circular. This hilly area is called the Alameda Ridge. Some of the homes on the ridge have commanding views of the West Hills, the Willamette River, and downtown.

In 2009, 76 homes were sold in the Alameda neighborhood in Portland OR; median sales price was $488,000 (a 9% decrease from 2008). The most popular cars for residents of the Alameda area are Subarus and Volvos. Many of Alameda's best restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops are found along NE Fremont Street where you'll find a wide variety to suit many tastes all within close proximity.
