For Friday only, Z100 is sponsoring a Friday Combo Special for the carnival rides at the Festival of Balloons in Tigard. A ticket purchased online only, entitles you to unlimited access to the carnival rides at the festival and 4 game tickets. You simply need to click on the orange button above (will be activated Friday June 4th, 2010) and follow the quick and easy steps to check-out. Once you check-out be sure to print out the confirmation page, you will need that page to enter the festival and receive your unlimited rides.

A ticket purchased for the Z100 Friday Combo Special will also serve as an entry pass to the entire festival for Friday only - IF PURCHASED ON-LINE. This pass does not include food at the carnival. When printing your tickets at home, you will receive one for the entrance gate at the festival and one to turn into the carnival booth in exchange for ride bracelet and game tickets.

This event is a spectacular opportunity for people of all ages. Parents bring your little ones for the smaller, slower carnival rides. Teenagers come hang out with friends and classmates to start the summer off right. Beyond unlimited access to the carnival rides this pass offers so many more great opportunities for everyone. Kids and parents alike can browse through the dozens of craft vendors, peruse the great offers from business expos and enjoy fresh cooked food and cold beverages at the food vendor tents. There will be live performances on the main stage in the evening and a boisterous atmosphere in the beer garden.

If that's not enough, enjoy the scene of multiple hot air balloons lit-up by the fire inside them starting at dusk (weather pending). The NW Natural Night Glow on Friday and Saturday nights is a family favorite, and a great opportunity to see the balloons up-close and personal.

Cook Park neighborhood of Tigard: This neighborhood is situated around Cook Park and is generally considered to be south of Durham Rd. to the Tualatin River, with Tigard High School being the eastern boundary and SW 113th being the western boundary. Cook Park is 79 acres on the Tualatin River that offers an abundance of recreational activities. Kayaking on the Tualatin River is quite popular, along with observing waterfowl and aquatic animals. Cook Park is the location for Tigard's signature event, the Tigard Festival of Balloons.

The Cook Park neighborhood is primarily single family homes that can start at about $250,000 and go up to over $500,000. The homes are a mixture of old and new and have a garden/woody feel. There are very few thru streets, so there is little street traffic, but you soon get to know your way around. Walking trails are interspersed that connect with the expansive walking trails of the Tigard Park system.

The Cook Park neighborhood children attend the highly regarded Tigard - Tualatin School District and Tigard High School is within walking distance. The quality of the local schools would make this area attractive to any family with children.

The commute time to downtown Portland is about 25 minutes and it takes about 45 minutes to get to the Portland airport. The fabulous shopping at Bridgeport Village is about 10 minutes away and the equally alluring shopping at Washington Square is about 15 minutes away.
