Mannings Ice Cream and Milk has been a local favorite in the Scranton area for years.

Mannings Farm is a small family owned dairy business in North East Pennsylvania.

Their milk and Ice Cream products are well known in the area. Mannings farm maintains 75 Holstein cows. The farm grows the food fed to the cows to maintain a standard and consistent diet.

Mannings produces 50 flavors of homemade Ice Cream. No matter what season it is Mannings is always bustling serving their fresh ice cream at 5 locations.

The milk and ice cream are so fresh you can really taste the difference.

We stopped by the Clarks Summit store for a brief visit. It's hard to make a decision with all these choices.

There is an array of toppings to choose from to create your own signature treat. Besides hand dipped ice cream you can bring home your favorite flavor pre packed.

Mannings is so iconic that George Bush made an impromptu stop on his way back from a stump speech for a local legislator in 2006.

Hillary Clintonreminisced about stopping at Mannings with her Dad on the way to Tunkhannock.

IRS filed fraud charges against a buyer and their accountant for making a fraudulent Home Buyers Stimulus claim.

Be sure you discuss the qualifying factors of this credit, with a good financial adviser before you buy a home or file with the IRS. One factor is misunderstood by many people who have not researched this completely.

Here is an example. Mary marries John who owns a home in his own name. Mary moves into the home John owns. The home becomes their primary residence. John does not put Mary's name on the deed nor is her name on the mortgage.

John and Mary decide to buy another primary residence. Since Mary is not the owner of record on of present home, they feel Mary should be able to buy a new residence in her name only and claim the 1^st time home buyers credit.

According to the IRS interpretation this may be fraudulent. Read the news release regarding the first IRS fraud case. IRS considers Mary to be ineligible due to the disqualification of her spouse.

Joey's Gourmet Pizza has a large parking lot for those who would like to dine in. A large dining area to accommodate a couple, or a couple dozen of your friends is also available. Bring the kids after soccer practice or have your next youngsters' birthday party here.

Joey's Gourmet Pizza also delivers in the area at no extra charge. Great for when you get home too weary to cook. We often call Joey's when we get home late because we know the quality of their food and service. Their service is always prompt and the food arrives hot and delicious.

The menu is very extensive and offers sandwiches, subs, full meals, snacks and pizza. The prices are reasonable and a great value for your money.

Joey's Gourmet Pizza is open 7 days a week. Sunday through Thursday the hours are 11am-11pm. Friday and Saturday night until Midnight.
