I really thought that this was an important point to bring up. At least 2 of my recent clients have been involved in divorce. The sale of their properties has been over three years and they have been renting since then. When I told them that they qualified for an $8,000 tax credit because they hadn't owned real property in the last three years they were very surprised. No one had a heart attack or needed hospitalized, but they were none the less very happy.
Remember... You do not have to pay the $8,000 back. It is not a loan. It is a definitive and absolute rebate.
In my market which is Greensburg, Hempfield Township, Unity Township, North Huntingdon to Cranberry PA, Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. That money can go a long way. Or at the very least be a down payment on a new Lexus :-)

Recorded sales transfers for the resorts are acquired electronically from records inputted at the Somerset County Court House, Office of the Recorder of Deeds. We review sales in Jefferson (Hidden Valley) and Middlecreek (Seven Springs) Townships on a weekly basis.
Prices do not reflect bill of sales and other out of settlement transfers. Furnishings, which are included in the majority of sales are assigned no monetary value. We do not post transfers that carry $1.00 values.

Sorry, it's NOT an April Fools Joke. It's time to face the fact. The old work environment of days past, where families, not just individuals, worked their entire lives at the resort, those days are gone. Where you could walk down any hall way, sit in any bar stool or dining room chair, and greet employees by their first name and they knew you, your family, and what you liked.
Progress on major financial investments continues. The foundation for the Lodge at the Sporting Clays center has been poured. The Spa is soon to open. Yet March saw major employee cutbacks (many were long term employees) and a change in philosophy of the day to day operations at Seven Springs. Several shops and eateries are now open four days instead of seven. Hours have been cut back. Many of the familiar faces are gone along with their positions.
When asked, "How many people do you have working for you?" Herman Dupre (one of the past owners) was once jokingly quoted as saying, "We have between 800 to 1,200 employees depending upon the season. How many are working today is tough to say!" It used to be that Seven Springs boasted that they were the largest employer in Somerset County. Given this economy they may still be...
We realize that this is happening to people in every state. Some how we thought the mountain would be a safe haven. It is indeed a new environment, let us know what you think of it.
Here's a salute to all of those folks who are moving on that we will dearly miss. Thank you for your years of service. It is because of you that Seven Springs is at this point! We wish you well in these challenging times. You where what made the Seven Spring experience.

By Christine Emmick
Since February 2007, the owners of Morella's Route 30 Shop-n-Save have donated over 26,000 Campbell's® Labels for EducationTM to Latrobe area schools, and they are set to do it again. Through a partnership with the company, the Latrobe Shop-n-Save will donate over 23,000 more Labels for EducationTM certificates to Mountain View Elementary School in Latrobe.
With these points, the school can select anything from Crayola® art supplies, Merriam-Webster's® reference books and Math Blaster®learning software, to playground equipment, a MiniDV camcorder or a wireless PA system. The program also includes earning points for video projectors, iMac® and Dell® computers, flat panel TVs, educational games, science kits and models, microscopes and even an electronic scoreboard.
The Morella's encourage members of the community to join their efforts by simply donating Labels for Education UPC codes from the products they use. Just drop them off at the box located at the front of the service desk. Many Campbell's® soup UPC codes qualify for the Labels for EducationTM program, and Labels for EducationTMpoints are also found on selected Spaghettios®, Franco-American®, Prego®, Pepperidge Farm® and Swanson® products. Selected V8® juice caps and certain Campbell's®Food-service products are even accepted. For more information on what to collect, visit www.labelsforeducation.com and click on View Eligible Products.
