In September, there are two events coming up that will be jam packed with activity. Both are held at Hegins Park, the community's main gathering spot for local events. Hegins Park, Park Lane (Route 25), Hegins PA 17938 (Schuylkill County PA) Located at Exit 112 off I-81.

September 5

2nd Annual Schuylkill County Wine Festival Hegins Park, 1 pm to 6 pm.

The second annual Schuylkill County Wine Festival will be featuring local wineries. A host of caterers will be on hand to provide an excellent choice of foods to fit everyone's palette. The wineries will be offering tastes of all of their flavorful fantastic & prize winning wines. Exhibitors will be presenting a variety of spices breads & cheeses & wine jellies to taste & purchase. Entertainment by D J Dan Poletti. For your listening & dancing pleasure vocalist T J. Fitzpatrick will have all the girls swooning with his smooth sound. Spend a wonderful day in Hegins Park with your friends in a friendly hometown atmosphere.

September 18

21st Annual Hegins Arts & Crafts Faire Hegins Park - "Come to the country" and experience the Hegins Valley Arts and Crafts Fair - an annual event with 200 artists and crafters displaying and demonstrating their skills, food vendors and more. Proceeds benefit local charities, organizations, and community projects.

9 am to 3pm Breakfast starting at 7 am / Held Rain or Shine

Directions to HEGINS PARK:

From Harrisburg: * Take I-81 North. * Take the Hegins Exit, Exit 112. * Turn left off the ramp (traveling west) onto Rt.25. * Go approximately 5 1/2 miles and turn left onto Park Lane.

Danville/Bloomsburg: * Take Rt. 54 South to I-81 South. * Take the Hegins Exit, Exit 112. * Turn right off the ramp (traveling West) onto Rt.25. * Go approximately 5 1/2 miles and turn left onto Park Lane.

Reading/Allentown: * Take I-78 West to the Bethel exit, exit 13. * Turn right off the ramp onto SR 501 North. * Travel approximately 7 1/2 miles and turn left onto SR 895. * In 1/2 mile turn right onto SR.443. * Continue straight onto SR.125 North. * Follow signs and take I-81 North. * Take the Hegins Exit, Exit 112. * Turn right off the ramp (traveling West) onto Rt.25. * Go approximately 5 1/2 miles and turn left onto Park Lane.
