Home heating bills are crazy! Propane went up 50 cents in a month (in between my own fill-ups) and the costs will probably continue until warmer weather arrives. It's supply and demand and it's happening everywhere. Now is the time to pull harder on the end of your belt, don't buy the soda, or the candy, or popcorn, or anything else you buy over and above what you need so you can pay those high heating bills! That's right, begin suffering so you can line other's pockets with your hard-earned cash!
NOT!!!
Why pay the heating bills when you can save money by having a thermal survey performed on your home? Find your local infrared specialist and "see" where you're losing your heat! For more information on what infrared can see, go to my web site and have a FREE look. Unlike the utility companies, I won't rob you.

An event that is near and dear to me, and should be attended and supported by everyone locally who is an animal lover,
is the annual Puppymill Awareness Day event happening on Saturday, September 20th, 2008 at the Intercourse Park in Intercourse, Lancaster County PA.
Beginning at 11 am with guest speakers indicated in the flyer below, and continuing with a march in support of bringing awareness to such a dirty and unethical business practice, the Puppy Mill Awareness Day will end with the first annual Rescue Parade. Share your home with a rescue dog? Share your story and participate in the parade!
This day is not only for briging awareness and educating the public about the horrors of puppy mills, but millers are also encouraged to drop off and surrender their mill dogs ~ no questions asked! Many of us have heard of the horrible fate of over 80 dogs recently when two millers in an adjacent county shot 80 of their dogs when they were fined for animal abuse. Rather than surrender these dogs and closing their doors, they shot them, thinking nothing of it. They could have easily surrendered these dogs and spared their fate, perhaps giving them a chance for the first time in their lives of walking on grass or being handled gently by a loving family.

In How Much is That Doggy in the Window? More than You can Imagine! I wrote about my personal experience of owning a puppy mill dog, and encouraging people to not buy their dogs or puppies from a pet shop.
Don't shop, Adopt!

The word is spreading about the pains that puppy mill dogs endure, especially since Oprah talked about it on her show not too long ago. Help support this worthy cause!

If you are an animal lover, please feel free to re-blog this post and help get the word out! Let's all "P" on Puppy Mills!
