December 4 thru 6 - 28^th Annual Olde Time Christmas Celebration in town full of history. During this season, the town of Jim Thorpe is transformed into an authentic Victorian Christmas village. At 6:00pm on Friday, Dec. 4, children and parents will gather to await Santa's arrival in the Josiah White Park adjacent to the Railroad Station.

Everyone will get in the holiday spirit with Christmas carols by Beyond Bach and the lighting of the town Christmas tree.

There will be a Live Nativity scene at Sam Miller Field on North Avenue on Friday and Saturday, with a shuttle bus from the Railroad Station to the Nativity.

There will also be train rides with Santa and horse-drawn carriage rides through the charming town each day.

It's time for the third annual Bluegrass and Anthracite Heritage Festival. The festival will include open mic on Friday night, bluegrass/country performers, historical exhibits and displays, coal mining memorabilia, food vendors, crafters, free hayrides, environmental programs and a social bonfire at dusk. Folk and bluegrass performers starting at 10am. Camping space available, accommodations for overnight guests. Admission is $2/adults and $1/kids, children 3 and under are free. The festival will be held from 10am-10pm
