The Bradley REALTORS(R) Team continues to support three area neighborhood websites. These sites are meant to be community resources which allow residents, non-resident property owners and visitors alike to get up to date information on local news, weather, events, photos, professional services directory, classified ads, recipes, lawn/gardening tips. home maintenance tips, and restaurany reviews. The site also has real estate offeriings, real estate news, access to office website, Active Rain(R), MLS via IDX, and national/global news plus a cartoon of the day and quote of the day with related topics. THey are a way to know what is going on even if your schedule keeps you away from the area. They are also a way to see what is coming up should you be planning to be at your vacation get-away property.

Lake Harmony and Albrightsville Volunteer Fire Companies applied to be and were selected as the hosts for the 131St Fireman's ASssociation of Pennsylvania's Convention and Parade in September 2011! The exact dates are 923 and 9/24/11 (yes it takes that long to get approval and logistics effort underway). This state-wide event has never been held in the Pocono Mountains and is quite an accomplishment for local volunteers. State-wide, professional and volunteer fire companies will be sending representatives to this convention, to be held at the Galleria at The Resort at Split Rock. The parade will feature over 300 poeces of firefighting and rescue apparatus, 3000+ marcing firefighters, marching bands and more. The parade route will begin with staging near Big Boulder and proceed along South Lake Dr to The Galleria. Prizes are awarded in many different categories of apparatus and highly competed for by the various fire companies. Over 10,000 people are expected for the event. Put this on your calendar as it will be one to remember. The event will be a marvelous economic boost to the area while also raising funds for the Fireman's Association of Pa who use the proceeds for their various charitable works. Congratulate the local volunteers when you see them and contact them if you can be of assitance in the effort or want to be a sponsor.

The Resort at Split Rock is constructiong an indoor water park. We will post photos as it progresses. It is slated for an August 2008 opening. Should be a new and fun thing to do in an area filled with recreational choices. While the Waterpark is intended for use by the Resort's guests, it will be open to the public as well. Fees areyet to be established fo rthe park which will include a food court, an arcade game area, three different sized waterslides which actually leave and return into the building among other features.
