For those of you that are natives of Montgomery County you will remember that Bear Creek was Doe Mountain.... boy has it come a long way.

Going back further Bear Creek was the home of Gap mines, which was part of the Mid-Atlantic Iron Belt which date back to the 1800s. The railroad serving the mines was known as the Catasuaqua-Fogelsville Railroad.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort also has a Conference Center it is all on over 330 acres in Berks County. The resort has skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing in the winter, and hiking, biking, fishing, boating, tennis and nearby golf during the spring, summer, and fall.

History of Bear Creek
