Oh what a night....... in New Castle, Pennsylvania......the night glow of the hot air balloon show was an amazing show to watch. Hundreds of residents and far away visitors enjoy the " perfect weather day "
The balloons tonight were inflated and were on the ground only. The first launch is scheduled between 6:00 and 7:00 Friday morning, weather permitting. I spent a couple hours strolling the usually peaceful Scotland Meadows Park in Union Townships.
The summer sounds of fun filled the air from the many amusement rides and country music blared from the main sound stage that welcomed all,.. to New Castle.".Fireworks capital of America "
"I checked out the many ducks who have claimed the Scotland Meadows Park in Union Township as their home.....did they mind the intrusion, carousel music and Kelly Pickler singing her heart out?
They just didn't seem to mind..just waiting for a bit of food tossed their way and taking it all in stride..just doing what ducks do.
I will in my next blog create a slide show to share with all of you . There is still a lot of action packed into the week end so check out the schedule and I hope I see you there...Smile you may show up in the slide show

To all our " Hot Air Ballloon Quest " followers here is a copy of the schedule for the rest of the celebration

New Castle Pennsylvania celebrates " Let There Be Joy"
On December 26 the Seraphim Chorus, a community choir invited the residents and friends to a free concert at Mary Mother of Hope Parish ( St Marys Church} in downtown New Castle.
The free concert featured selections by Handel, Faure, Rutter, Menotti and others celebrated the Christmas Season.
The chorus is under the direction of Mary Mother of Hope's own director of music, Mr Kris Harper.
Kathryn D.Miller, Westminster College organist will accompany the group. In addition to the performance of the Seraphim Chorus, Carmen Massaro-organist, Justine Kolodziej-Tenor & Kris Harper-Baritone and Anthony Nsthsl-Bass also performed at scheduled times.

The busyness, the hustle and hectic preparation for the celebration of Christmas ended with the beautiful presentation of " Let There Be Joy" at Mary Mother of Hope Parish in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
On December 26 th the community gathered to celebrate a quieter time of the season.
Many gathered to relax, meditate, and enjoy the musical artistry from the choir loft and to absorb the brilliance and beauty of the scene at Bethlehem displayed before them.
Numerous exquisitely decorated trees surrounded the intricately detailed, seventy-inch scale, Fontanini Nativity. Massive bouquets of red and white poinsettias graced the sanctuary to recreate the scene of splendor and majesty of that Holy Night.
Although no photo can recapture the peace and tranquility of that afternoon, here is a slide show of the event.
Thanks to Rev. Victor J. Molka, Pastor and to all of the people who worked so deligently to create a visual display of the blessed stillness of Christmas.
Enjoy!
"Let the Countenance of Jesus Christ shine from you this season." May Jesus Christ be the gift that we share with everyone God brings into our lives. May there be no door close behind us that we haven't been 'the Christ' to that person's need.....
