This week in Newtown, PA's Brookside community a great deal came on the market as an REO Sale.

26 Heather Ct. is a bank owned property being offered for $169,900. I previewed the home when it was listed as a short sale at $189,000 & it needs some work, but the comparable sales in this section of Brookside are as high as $205,000 and that property had a dated kitchen. This is a great opportunity for an investor, or a homeowner to get into a neighborhood walking distance to Newtown Borough and earn some sweat equity. It's even a great option for an FHA203k Loan where you can get a loan to improve the home before you move in.
Brookside is a neighborhood comprised of single family homes and townhomes built in the mid to late 1980's just outside of Newtown Borough in Newtown Township. It is located between State St. & Sycamore Ave. and bordered by the Newtown Bypass and the creek so for arguments sake it is in the heart of Newtown. The Brookside homeowner association charges approximately $105 per month which pays for Common Area Maintenance, Lawn Maintenance, Snow Removal, Trash Removal, Swim Fee, Tennis Court, Club House, & Play Ground.
The townhomes vary in size from approximately 1200 sq. ft. 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath homes to approximately 2,000 sq. ft. 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath homes some offering garages and basements. Map of Brookside
Goodnoe Elementary, Newtown Middle School, and Council Rock High School North serve the Brookside community.
