As Bonnie Tyler Said "I Need A Hero"! ~ Are You Looking For One Too?

Bonnie Vaughan CNE SFR - Buyers/Sellers Lackawanna & Surrounding Counties: Real Estate Agent in Scranton, PA

In the 1980's, the TV show Coverup used this popular theme song sung by Bonnie Tyler.

"I Need A Hero".

If you have never heard it, you may like to watch the UTube video.

"I Need a Hero", by Bonnie Tyler

I proudly re-blogged it. Several members commented about Heroes they knew.

The thought struck me ~ How many heroes never get honorable mention?

  • We ponder our economic distress. We worry about the future of our country. We are concerned that our children are inheriting our man made mess. Is Global warming real or contrived? Will our industry be severely impacted by more foreclosures and short sales?
  • We are bombarded by the evil and wrongs of the world every day.

Armed Forces
We know our brave military men and women are heroes.

Never should we let a day go by without praying for them.

Never should we fail to say "Thank you for your service".

Little do we realize we are surrounded by everyday heroes.

Just ordinary folks who do extraordinary things. We have met them or heard about them in our daily lives

Some do small things. Other do huge things. They never ask for recognition or praise. Most are generous beyond our imagination in a quiet way.

So my friends in the Rain - Let's Make a Storm!

Let's take this opportunity to give the heroes you know a resounding clap of Thunder and the illumination of Lightening.

All comments are welcome ~ But you have an assignment ~

If you can, Post about someone you know or have heard of, who has made a difference without thought of themselves. Tell us the story. Give them the spotlight. Inspire and awe us.

Giving

It can be someone close to home or a celebrity who gives quietly from the heart.

It can be a relative, friend, co-worker, minister, neighbor or someone you have never met.

It can be a gift of self, time, money, love or compassion.

The comments are not limited to organ donation.

  • Include those who feed the hungry.
  • Couples who raise orphans or foster children.
  • People who volunteer to transport and care for Seniors.
  • Those who donate to causes when they can ill afford it.
  • Those who perform even simple acts of kindness out of love for their fellow man.
