February is American Heart Month!

Go Red for Women!

In honor of American Heart Month and to make women more aware of the #1 killer of American Women, Schuylkill Health Auxiliary will hold a "Little Red Dress Event" on Sunday, February 12, 2012 (Snow Date - Sunday, February 19) at the Pottsville Club, Pottsville, Pennsylvania, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

This memorable "Ladies Fun Day Out" will educate and empower women to take control of their heart health! Schuylkill Health Auxiliary is committed to celebrating the energy, passion, and power of women. The Little Red Dress Event will create a better awareness about the risk of heart disease and ways to prevent it.

The "Red Dress Event" will feature heart health education, blood pressure screening, body mass index and bone density testing. In addition, 50+ vendors will be available for shopping, including a fashion show, music, entertainment, jewelry, decorating tips for spring, women's safety martial arts demonstration, free massages, hair trends for 2012, make-up demonstration, silent auction, door prizes, and giveaways. Tickets are $20 per person which will include heart healthy sandwiches, hors d'oeuvres and a dark chocolate fountain.

Information will be provided on: creating recreational areas, developing your native landscaping, forest ecology, managing your forest whatever its size, improving wildlife habitat and creating your personal plan. Pottsville Club is Welcoming New Members in 2012

The Pottsville Club is welcoming new members. There are several membership options to help you enjoy the delicious food and fun events at the Pottsville Club:

Resident Member - Adults that live or work less than 25 miles from the Pottsville Club, 35 years old, or older. Dues are $45/month, plus $8/month building and maintenance fee and $45/month minimum food purchase.

Non-Resident Member - Adults that live more than 25 miles from the Pottsville Club. Dues $22.50/month, $8/month building and maintenance fee and $45/month food minimum.

Junior Member - Adults that live less than 25 miles from the Pottsville Club less than 35 years old. Dues are $22.50/month, $8/month building and maintenance fee and $45/month food minimum.

Social Member - Adults can join for 6 months, no dues or building and maintenance fees, with a $25/month food minimum purchase.
